Decent Enough but missed the mark on the details
As a designer, I have specified many a corner shower shelf and I wanted the built in grab bars for my own kids bathroom. These ticked the boxes for matte black, round edge, and built in grab bar but I don't love the snap in plastic top shelf piece and the bolts are very visible shiny silver. Great piece for the value but could still be fine tuned.

Just shelves - can't be installed as safety bars
This shelf was a disappointment. Aesthetically it's very nice but as a shelf that is supposed to double as a safety bar it doesn't work. A corner shelf doesn't match up with normal corner studs. Therefore you can't count on it to support the advertised 300 lbs. So for the price it's not a good value. However I kept the shelves (I bought 2) because they are very nice looing.

The Perfect Corner Shelf
The perfect solution for corner shelves and easy to install. The finish matches perfectly to the champagne bronze. The black insert is made of plastic and is easy to remove to clean

Functional, but aesthetically really nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the black matte corner shelf and are very happy with it both from a functional standpoint and the aesthetics (it doesn't look like a home medical device!). I was originally a bit weary since the actual shelf piece is plastic, but once you install it, it doesn't look cheap and I have no complaints. The size is perfect for a bar of soap and a razor, etc. It was easy to install and it is easy to clean.
We had gutted our bathroom, so my husband reinforced the shower area where the shelf was going to be positioned- knowing that it would be used as a grab bar. This was a precautionary measure just in case it could be ripped out of the wall (more to do with our old house, not the product) and since we could easily reinforce the wall-- we took the time and effort.
We also have a few other Delta Decor Assist products and we love them all. We highly recommend the corner soap dish with the assist bar.

Horrid plastic
I have two of this type and this is by far the worst quality. The plastic piece literally falls off constantly and warps. Looks cheap. There is another with a harder, higher quality plastic shelf that is much better.

The screws on this corner shelf will be visible from below, so if visibility is a concern for you it would be a good idea to install the shelf below eye level. I hope this is helpful! What is the recommended installation height for this corner shelf with assist bar?

Thank you for your question. The Delta Contemporary Corner Shelf 41516 model, does not have any recommended height requirements for installation. This unit can be installed vertically, horizontally or at an angle, as long as the mounting screw on one end of the Assist Bar is secured into a wall stud.

Plastic tray
I purchased this item the other day and followed the installation directives. The plastic tray will not snap into the shelf bracket. I can not get a single one to snap in properly. It's upsetting because this is the last step. I've already mounted everything. What is the issue? I even had the piece replaced at Home Depot and the new one will not fit. I've already drilled into my ceramic shower tile. I need a fix.

Do I need to caulk the top of shelf and/or grab bar after the installation? Thank you.
Read the last line under "CAUTION AND SAFETY WARNINGS:" on the Safety Bar Installation Instructions provided with the product or in the link https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/CP11626.pdf, it indicates to apply a bead of silicone sealant to the back of the mounting flanges to prevent water from bleeding through the mounting holes.
Unfortunately, the 7/8" wide mounting flange will not cover the entire 1" diameter hole, so you still have a gap on top and underneath the flange you will need to seal.

Can this be installed in the UpStile shower surround?
Thank you for your question, DreaS! You may install the Delta Decor Assist shelves on the UPstile walls. If you are using screws, please make sure to apply sealant around all the seams of the shelves to ensure a water tight seal.

Replacement Plastic Tray
How do I go about obtaining a replacement plastic tray? Is there a pert number for it?

Can you install this shelf in the Upstile Shower walls with screws or should you only use the adhesive? Is this the only shelf that should be used with this product?

Thank you for your question on the Delta Contemporary Corner Shelf with Assist Bar. I will be happy to assist you today.
You can install shelves on the UPstile walls with screws. If you choose to do so, please make sure to apply sealant around all the seams of the shelves to ensure a water tight seal. Also keep in mind if holes are drilled incorrectly for the screws, unfortunately we would not be able to cover that issue under warranty. I have included below a list of sealants that we recommend and are tested by our engineers:
DAP® 3.0™ Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing High Performance Sealant
Red Devil® RD3000™ Advanced Kitchen & Bath Sealant
ECO-BOND® Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing Adhesive and Sealant
We do also different models that can be used instead. They are the models 41316-RB and 41416-RB. I have included links to these below as well:

I have installed the Contemporary corner shelf with assist in my shower stall. Is it possible to buy an additional shelf insert? I'd like to have it on hand in the event it should be damaged in any way.
