Decent Enough but missed the mark on the details
As a designer, I have specified many a corner shower shelf and I wanted the built in grab bars for my own kids bathroom. These ticked the boxes for matte black, round edge, and built in grab bar but I don't love the snap in plastic top shelf piece and the bolts are very visible shiny silver. Great piece for the value but could still be fine tuned.

Just shelves - can't be installed as safety bars
This shelf was a disappointment. Aesthetically it's very nice but as a shelf that is supposed to double as a safety bar it doesn't work. A corner shelf doesn't match up with normal corner studs. Therefore you can't count on it to support the advertised 300 lbs. So for the price it's not a good value. However I kept the shelves (I bought 2) because they are very nice looing.

The Perfect Corner Shelf
The perfect solution for corner shelves and easy to install. The finish matches perfectly to the champagne bronze. The black insert is made of plastic and is easy to remove to clean

Functional, but aesthetically really nice
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the black matte corner shelf and are very happy with it both from a functional standpoint and the aesthetics (it doesn't look like a home medical device!). I was originally a bit weary since the actual shelf piece is plastic, but once you install it, it doesn't look cheap and I have no complaints. The size is perfect for a bar of soap and a razor, etc. It was easy to install and it is easy to clean.
We had gutted our bathroom, so my husband reinforced the shower area where the shelf was going to be positioned- knowing that it would be used as a grab bar. This was a precautionary measure just in case it could be ripped out of the wall (more to do with our old house, not the product) and since we could easily reinforce the wall-- we took the time and effort.
We also have a few other Delta Decor Assist products and we love them all. We highly recommend the corner soap dish with the assist bar.

What is the shelf for the chrome corner grab bar made of? What color is it? And the fact that you do not provide replacement shelfs for this product is ridiculous! Come on, Delta. Look at your feedback...lots of people seeking replacement shelves.

The shelf inserts in both of our showers have to be replaced as the spokes underneath the shelf have broken so the shelf does not stay in place and falls to the shower floor. Product 41516. How can we purchase the shelfs only?

How does the shelf install in the grab bar frame? Does it snap into place? Can you purchase extra shelf?

While attaching the plastic shelf onto bracket and ensure the plastic pegs snap into the holes on the support bracket. Unfortunately, an extra shelf cannot be purchased separately.
