Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wife loves the fan spray for cleaning shower Well we had a little setback with this unit. For some reason the hose that was included with it had a 1/2" NPT thread on the end to connect to the elbow, instead of the 1/2" NPSM thread that is on the 50560BL elbow that is recommended for it. I called Delta and explained the problem and the customer service rep and I went through the technical specs and it clearly states that they have different threads. The customer rep was awesome and sent me out a new hose and it screwed on perfectly just like it should have! So kudos to their service department (although it was quite a wait on hold) once I got through she was awesome. Oh and for the person who noted the water pressure, make sure you first fire it up without the hand wand attached to make sure any little debris is cleaned out instead of plugging up your jets, also (and I'm not sure this is recommended or endorsed by Delta, so do so at your own risk, but there's a little O ring in the bottom of the handle where the debris filter is. I would assume that if that was removed it would increase your pressure/flow slightly

The Shower head sits so straight in the holder that it just sprays us in the face. It seems like there should have been an additional attachment allowing the head movement without falling out of the hole. Any suggestions would be helpful.

This looks great in my shower and I like the dark black color. The 6 settings fit my different needs and usage. I realy like that this can slide on the bar to go higher or lower and I can remove the shower head from the bar to get other angles as well. Overall a great design and option.

Which supply elbow goes with this handheld shower head? Also, is the depth adjustable for the pipe coming out of the wall?

Hi, I am wondering if model 51584 can be installed as the sole shower function instead of as a secondary hand shower. Does it have enough water power? Can it be installed near the ceiling from the standard shower pipe? Thx!

What valve and trim would I need if I wanted to pair the 51584-CZ-PR with a body spray like SH5000-CZ?

You would need to purchase the rough-in valve R10000 that connects with one of our trims that begins with T13-T14 OR T17-T17 and the diverter valve R11000 with a trim that starts with T11. The 51584 series shower head does not have very much water pressure. Is there an adjustment that allows me to add more pressure?

Hi Carol44, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately there is no way to increase the flow rate for this model. This hand shower only provides a flow rate of 1.75gpm. As a WaterSense labeled product it uses at least 20% less water than the industry standard—saving you money without compromising performance. Please reach out with further questions! You can install a shower head, body jets and the 51584-PR with an in-wall diverter, or you can use two shower heads, or two hand showers, it all depends on what you want and what your area of residence approves of. What thermostatic valve would you recommend using with 51584-PR? WE are not going to have a tub faucet or additional shower head so won't need a diverter.
