No Pressure
The water pressure is weak. Is there a restrictor that I can remove? We are on rain water. There are no regulations on water consumption. We have plenty of pressure on all the other faucets in the house.

Nice Shower head
It’s good looking and it works. I’d give it 5 stars if it didn’t have the California water restrictions. As it is, I feel like I’m using more water because the rinse takes longer.I like saving water, but I definitely prefer my older shower head and stronger water stream.

Looks nice, poor performance
This was installed on a brand new build so there was no buildup of anything in any of the pipes. It was also a home run install with only one 90° fitting (vega)at the mixing valve and a total of 20 ft from the manifold. The amount of water coming out of this unit is in my opinion extremely poor. If you're used to just having water weekly, hit you then it's something I would consider, but otherwise I would look elsewhere as the restrictors in this unit make the water flow so lightly that it doesn't feel like you're getting any type of soap off of your body.

HORRIBLE!!!
We paid a lot of money for this shower head and it worked for less than 8 months. The handheld sprayer no longer has different spray patterns. No matter what position, all that happens now is the sprayer has a weak spray from all the holes - rotating the lever does absolutely nothing - no massage, no pulsating, no pause. I've had waaay cheaper showerheads last for a lot longer. For what this showerhead cost, this should be built much better and certainly last a lot longer than those cheapo $35 models. Now, because it is so poorly designed/manufactured, I've got to waste my time and go through the hassle of trying to get it replaced under the "Lifetime Warranty." THIS WAS A BAD PURCHASE!

Worked great until…
When I purchased this product it worked great. Awesome water pressure and the handheld was perfect. After a few months, the handheld start to act up. No matter which setting it was on the water just sprayed out of every hole. Nothing would change. I’m hoping this is under warranty…

Why are we not getting full hot water from our new showerhead Is there something in the mixer valve that could have caused that? This was a new install.

Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. For the Delta Faucet In2ition HSSH 1.75 GPM 4-Setting In Chrome MODEL#: 58499 that is not getting full hot water, we recommend making sure that the rotational limit stop is where you would like it to be on the valve. We also recommend flushing the valves of new installations. To flush the valves, please follow the instructions below:
Turn off the hot and cold supply to the valve. This may involve shutting off the water to the entire residence, or for the room or fixture. [Or there may be supply stops on the valve itself behind the escutcheon requiring removal of the handle.]
Turn the volume control on to relieve any pressure behind the valve.
Remove the handle, There may also be a trim sleeve to slide off of the valve.
If you have supply stops on the valve itself, you will remove the escutcheon plate to access those.
Remove the bonnet. A strap wrench works best to not deform the bonnet.
Caution: Be careful not to twist the valve.
Remove the cartridge by wiggling as you pull, taking care to protect the stem. If the cartridge has a metal stem, reattach the handle to provide a better grip.
Check inside the valve for any other components and remove those.
Once all the parts have been removed from the valve, close the shower curtain or door.
Caution: the water may be very hot.
Turn both of the water supply valves on full and let the water run for 60-90 seconds.
Perform any maintenance on the removed components.
Reassemble the shower valve.
Check for leaks.

We purchased the Delta 58499-RB and had it installed. The hot water is not as hot as our sink water. Could the valve be inserted incorrectly? The water is luke warm. Thank you for your assistance. Steven

If a new shower valve was also installed, I recommend checking that the rotational limit stop was adjusted during installation. It sets the maximum temperature. See the valve trim's installation manual or videos here:

How can I adjust the shower head to aim down, not toward the back shower wall.

is the head plastic or metal.. the hose is metal but the hand held is not listed.

The hand shower is nonmetallic to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality product while maintaining safety control for the various temperatures of water that go through the product. With any showerhead or hand shower, for example, the part of the faucet that you would grab onto is typically made of plastic or a plastic mixture, as metal is heavier, susceptible to corrosion and retains heat.

If I buy a shower handle with a diverter will it control the flow between the hand held and main shower head? Also, will a handle that is rated at 2.0GPM max greatly reduce the water flow to the shower head? Thank you!

Our Delta Faucet UNIVERSAL SHOWERING In2ition HSSH 1.75 GPM 4-Setting MODEL#: 58499 has a diverter attached to the right side of the shower head, this will allow for a separate hand shower, shower head control as well as a shared feature. Also, this model has a 1.75 GPM water flow, the lower the PSI the lower the flow rate.

We live in an area with low water pressure. Does this unit have some type of water saver/restrictor that can be removed so that we get a better stream?

No water comes out when valve is set to send water only to the detachable wand. Other two settings water does come out. Valve bad? Hand wand not useable. How to fix?

I have an In2ition shower head that was installed in December 2017 that has started to leak. The bathroom is attached to our bedroom so it drives us crazy at night. I'm not sure what cartridge I would need to replace in order to fix it. Please advise.

Thank you for your question! We apologize for the leak you are experiencing with your Delta Faucet In2ition® 1.75 GPM 4-Setting Hand Shower In Spotshield Brushed Nickel MODEL#: 58499-SN. We understand this can be very frustrating and will be happy to help you.
The most common cause of a leak is debris. The best way to clear any debris is to flush the supply lines.
To do this, turn off the water supplies, remove the cartridge, and turn the supplies back on for one minute. Please make sure that you are getting good flow through both the hot and cold sides while flushing. You can also shake the cartridge back and forth to make sure the back half of the cartridge rattles. This means that the pressure-balancing spool is moving freely, as it should. If it does not, you can try soaking the cartridge in white vinegar for about 15-30 minutes.
You can also change the seals in your valve. You would need either the Delta Faucet Cartridge Adapter - MultiChoice® 17 Series MODEL#: RP46073 or the Delta Faucet Seats, Springs & Quad Rings (2) MODEL#: RP28603, depending on what series shower you have installed.
