Rated 3 out of 5 by from Elegant in Polished Nickel I am disappointed that the Cassidy towel ring does not come in left/right wall choice. I paid a premium price for the polished nickel. In my master bathroom, I have similar accessories but of a different brand and these feature left / right adaptations and can be considered better material quality / more durable. For the price, I am not impressed with the Cassidy in apparent quality / feel / features. The ring is fixed, it does not swivel, it does not hang freely, and leans out slightly, away from the wall. I hope the finish lasts for many years. After purchase, I noted a review by a previous buyer. For him, the towel rings are on opposite walls and appear mismatched. If I had known about this at the time of purchase, I'd have considered something else. I hesitate to recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good looking but doesn't function well This Cassidy towel ring was ordered for a powder room in our new home. Our polished nickel ring looks beautiful and it is solid and attractive. Just know the ring is actually stationery. It does not swing like other rings we've had. I didn't see that as a problem when it was installed. Unfortunately that along with the fact that only one screw was used to install it has caused it to loosen from the wall. It does have the option of using 2 screws, so make sure you or your installer does it properly. Our towel ring is coming out of the wall after just over a year. Now I may have to find a 12" towel bar to replace it.

Other reviewers don't appreciate the lack of swivel on the loop, but as long as that expectation is known, then this should not be much of an issue.

I bought this to replace my existing towel ring. Although this one does not pivot, that does not seem to be an issue for us. Opening on ring is not reversible, so be aware of space constraints. (The only benefit of the pivoting towel ring for us is that when I heard the squeak I knew my kids washed their hands!)

As others have pointed out, the ring doesn't pivot, which I think is a huge and unexpected drawback. They aren't made for left/right walls, and they are bigger than I expected. That all being said, they match the rest of my remodeled bathroom, and they are both pretty and sturdy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unusually Large Towel Ring I purchased the Delta Cassidy line for our new bathroom remodel and this towel ring is unusually large for a towel ring. the ring is 1 to 2 inches larger than most towel rings which may not seem like much - but it is. I noticed it as soon as I took it out of the box. It wastes so much space and looks odd. I had to buy a towel ring from another Delta line because it was too late to completely change the faucet and all accessories - disappointing!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Left/Right Wall Option It borders on the inconceivable that the Cassidy towel ring does not come in left/right wall choice. I bought these beautiful & pricy towel rings for my Master Bath in a new home. The rings are on opposite walls near my sink and one ring faces in and the other faces out. Because Delta doesn't have left & right rings, I now have a new bath with what appears to be mismatched rings. What a disappointment ... especially from a large company that should know better. If I had known about this at the time of purchase, I'd have bought something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't reverse I'm very disappointed that I have two beautiul towel rings, but they don't face the same way on opposite, parallel walls. It looks wrong, wrong, wrong! I'm sad that I have to accept what I feel looks unfinished and contrary to decorating in my brand new remodeled bathroom. There should at least be an option to reverse or have 2 similar products, one for the right wall and one for the left wall.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works I bought this because the webpage said it was reversible. This is not true. The ring does not flip from top to bottom. I tried and was afraid I would snap the ring out of the housing. Mine was either defective or somebody lied on the post. I wish you had a box marked "Maybe" instead of just yes or no. I would not recommend this to a friend unless what they saw is what they liked. Works well, it is sturdy and looks great.

Can I order the mounting bracket and set screw for the Cassidy towel ring?

I bought 2 of these - one for each side of the lavatories. I need to be able to reverse the direction of one of the towel rings so they will look balanced. We have not been able to reverse one of the towel rings. Any suggestions?

how to remove unit from installed

Hi, Vancouver Jack! Thank you for your question. The Delta 79746 Towel Ring can be removed by unscrewing the set screw at the bottom of the mount. Once the set screw is removed, the whole towel ring can be removed from the bracket. Is it polished chrome or just chrome in the Cassidy style?

A model number which contains 'PC' at the end of the model number will determine whether or not the model has a Polished Chrome finish. The ring is not secure or flat to the wall. There is no setscrew to loosen or tighten the unit. At the very underside there is a square opening with no screw. How do I move this unit from the wall ? Unit # 79746

On the underside of the Delta Cassidy Towel Ring 79746 unit, there is a set screw that you would need to unscrew, using the provided 3/32" Allen wrench. Is there a way to loosen the ring so it is pulled further away from the wall it is mounted to?

Is the ring reversible so the opening is on the left?

Can this ring be installed so that the opening is on left instead of the right as shown in the photo?

There is a set screw that appears to secure the ring. I loosened the set screw on two rings that I had, hoping that it would free the tower ring and I could flip it. It was not readily loosened. I decided that I didn't wish to gamble breaking the towel ring for purposes of reversing the ring. If the ring had come out and I could have flipped it, the set screw would have been on the top for the ring. (As well as the set screw for wall attachment.)
