RESEÑAS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst tub I have ever installed If I could give it 0 stars I would. Firstly I am a plumber so I have installed countless tubs and surrounds from many different manufacturers. This tub I purchased for my own home during our bathroom remodel. I associated Delta with quality. The tub mounted just fine although front skirt is very flimsy. The surround/ wall kit is next to impossible to install level/plumb without massive gaps in the panels I mean 1/2”+ gaps. I took it apart at least a half dozen times and made modifications to get some sort of nice finished product. I found the walls are different heights and thickness. Finished product looks awful i caulked in the massive gaps and figured I could live with it. The finish started coming off within a few months, it has now been a few years the tub looks like it is 20 years old. If that wasn’t enough there is now starting to get hairline cracks and leaked through our kitchen ceiling. I am now shopping for a replacement tub after only a few years of use… I am very upset that I now have to take on this project AGAIN.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed I bought this tub and matching wall unit sight unseen because I figured, if it’s Delta, it has to be good. I’m not a professional, but I’m far from an amateur when it comes to installing tubs, showers and wall units. I frame the alcove for the tub and wall unit, made sure everything was plumb and level and figured this install would be a snap. The tub itself sat nicely in its’ new home, but I couldn’t believe how flimsy the outer skirt was and the fact that Delta supplied a cheap piece of plastic piece to attach to the tub to hold it in place was shocking. I ended up attaching a piece of treated 2x4 to the floor behind the tub skirt and throwing the plastic piece away, which was a huge improvement. When it came time to fit the wall unit in place, I installed the back panel, then went to install the end wall. When the end wall was in place, level and lined up with the side of the tub, it was tight to the top of the back wall, but at the bottom, there was a 3/8” gap. I took everything back apart and checked the stud walls again for level…still perfect, so I proceeded to check the wall unit panels. There’s a 3/8” difference in the thickness of the wall panel from top to bottom. I corrected that issue by cutting a long tapered shim out of a 2x4 and attaching it to the stud where corner of the back wall sits. After all this jacking around, everything looks correct and the face of the wall unit is now level. If I wasn’t so far along with this project, I would have boxed the entire thing back up and returned and bought a sterling tub and surround.

what type of mortar should i use under my tub?

Asked by: jimbo
Hello jimbo, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model B10513-6032L-WH HYCROFT™ ProCrylic 60 In. X 32 In. Left Hand Tub. I apologize for any difficulty finding this information. We are happy to help! If the subfloor is not flat and level, it is recommended to put down a mortar bed where the base will be positioned. We do not have a recommended mortar. You will need a mortar to fill in low areas. The mortar should be safe for plastics. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing the mortar and see the installation manual for more information: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/101335%20Rev%20B.pdf Please reach out directly at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-DELTA if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best regards, Bryan

Asked by: Tbesing
Hi Tbesing, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model B10513-6032L-WH. We are happy to help if there is any defect with the support base. Please be sure to dry-fit the tub to ensure the tub and support base are properly aligned.
