Rated 5 out of 5 by from My plumber has always recommended Delta for its quality My plumber has been telling me to invest in Delta products for years. I sometimes like to choose the cheaper alternative but he has insisted that I will tell the difference in quality over time so his help isn't necessary. I was shocked how lightweight and easy the packaging box was to transport to its final spot for being a bathtub. I'm surprised the tub arrived in-tact because there is no extra cushion or bracing - just a cardboard box around the whole thing. Other than that, the tub looks great. I like the sleek look and the bright white. It looks nice in our bathroom making the space seem larger than it is. We were replacing a cast iron tub that the glaze keeps peeling off. My plumber was very happy we went with Delta brand for the tub to replace.

The drain is pretty although we haven’t ran any water yet in our new bathroom. It’s overall seems to be a very well constructed tub. Definitely recommend.

The bathtub in high white gloss combines modern style with functionality featuring a skeel, glossy finish that enhances the look of any bathroom. Its comfortable, durable and easy to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable design I was hoping to install this in our guest bathroom as we've been remodeling, however, the tub is about an inch too wide for our space, so my suggestion is to pay attention to the actual dimensions, as there is a 30" and a 32" width. I was attracted to this tub initially because you have the option to install with the surround frame (sold separately) or with tile. I like having the option and not being locked in to one or the other. The bathtub is very lightweight (under 30 pounds), so you can easily transport it from your driveway to your bathroom. Despite the light weight, the ProCrylic acrylic frame feels durable. I like the inclusion of the reinforced tub support, which eliminates the need for a mortar bed and provides an easier installation, which, as a DIYer, I appreciate. The tub is installed directly to studs so installation will be secure and durable. Acrylic is easy to clean, so this should be easy to maintain once installed. I like the white gloss finish, which will provide an updated look to any bathroom. Backed by Delta's 10 year residential warranty, you can't go wrong with this bathtub.

How much does this tub weigh? Home Depot website say 28 lbs. is this correct. Sounds very light.

I can find drain dimensions for the 30” wide tub but not the 32”. How far from the studs will the drain and fixtures need to be?

can i use a glass shower/bathtub door with this Delta 500? and if not, which models have at least a 2-7/8" ledge in order to install a glass door?

What is the weight capacity of the Delta 500 bathtub?  I’m nearly 300 lbs.

Bought tub but seems screws will be exposed if I tile vs use surround.  It says tile applications will work.  What am I missing.

Adam…I agree with you. I also just bought this tub and the Delta directions do NOT address how to tile this flange correctly! The flange has a large lip and below that is a deep recess. If you sit the backer, Kerdi, Wedi board on the flange, the tile will sit in front of a huge 1/4” x 1” gap along the bottom row of tiles. How am I supposed to fill and waterproof this gap as well as secure the tile? I have called and emailed Delta (wand included photos and drawings detailing the issue) and am told to look at the directions. I would appreciate a Delta expert really looking at this specific tub flange and providing a detailed drawing
