the instructions say not to use plumbers putty for the drain - why don't you recommend a replacement ? Should I use silicone instead?

We recommend trying to find an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant/adhesive or a sealant/adhesive which states it is safe for plastic or polystyrene and to check with the drain manufacture for your specific drain assembly. What kind of adhesive is recommended to attach to subfloor that won't damage the foam?

Can insulation batting be placed between the shower base and subfloor - concrete slab - to quiet water fall when shower is used?

Our Delta Faucet ProCrylic™ 48" X 34" Shower Base In White MODEL#: B78615-4834-WH has very little space to put anything beneath the base, and we recommend a mortar bed, to limit the amount of shifting and creaking that can happen during installation. I need a W34xL48 right or left drain. Not center due to floor joist.

Can I use this Base (Classic 400, A5, item number 40074 on the side of the box), with the Delta 48" Sliding Doors (B912912-4836-SS)? I'm asking because the sliding doors say they work with the 48 by 36 base, and this one is the 48 by 34 base. Thanks!
