Hi SC, Thank you for your question. The R4700-FLWS has supply stops that allow you to shut off the water at the valve during installation. It also will accepts threaded supply connections. The R4700-FL does not have stops and requires soldering. These are the only rough-in valves for our freestanding tub fillers. Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. The floor mount tub filler flows at a rate of 6-9 gallons per minute with the pressure balanced cartridge and 10-12 GPM using the high flow cartridge depending on your household water pressure. Thanks, Dave

Since there are different ways to install, the install sheet provides the thickness of the stringer and the thickness of the finished floor. Hello Gramps, Thank you for contacting us! I am happy to help you! To remove the valve from the Delta R4700-FL you will need to remove the handle, trim sleeve, and bonnet. You are able to pull the valve out once those parts are removed from the trim. Please note that the water should be turned off either when disassembling the faucet. Our R4700-FL does not require a plastic liner, however, our R4700-FLWS does to prevent direct contact of concrete for the rough and supply connections. There is not a specific liner we recommend.
