Pump stopped working....
Have had this product for the past 5 years and always has been difficult to refill. I have to either reach under and behind the sink blindly to remove the bottle to refill or fill extremely slowly from above the counter or else an airlock causes the soap to bubble over the top creating a mess. This past week, the pump stopped working. It will depress but does not come back up in order to pump again. I attempted to find the pump assembly on Amazon but what I received was too small/short for my bottle. At this point, I think the only fix is to replace the entire pump set up.

Broke easily, not durable
I am very disappointed. The pump became loose due to flimsy plastic internal parts. Shortly thereafter the whole thing started falling apart. The components fell out or came loose. I found a small gasket in the sink. I lifted pump to refill and the tubing pulled right out of the pump. Not what I would expect from a Delta product.

Soap dispenser plastic breaks easily
We are a "delta family", have this kitchen faucet,and this soap dispenser is a poor design. Faucet is great. However the soap dispenser is made of plastic and broke easily. It is a piece that goes under stress to be pumped, I thought it would be made of metal. Not a good product if you have kids.

Love the faucet, soap dispenser not durable at all
Our experience is similar to many of the other reviewers of this faucet/soap dispenser combo. The faucet is rock solid and a fantastic value. The soap dispenser appears to be made from inferior internal plastic components. Ours just stopped pumping this week and I took it apart to try to determine the cause and the mechanical pump inside is made from cheap plastic that is now cracked and broken. Going to have to replace the entire unit after two years.

Faucet is Great; Soap dispenser not so Great!
Love the Delta faucets in my kitchen and bathrooms. However, the soap dispenser has recently stopped working properly. Very little soap is being pumped out of the dispenser. The worst part is we had a hole cut in our granite countertop to fit this particular dispenser.

Our Delta soap dispenser worked great untill the pump head cracked off. We are having trouble finding a new pump head.
The faucet works great. The broken soap dispenser is an eye sore. Our rating was excellent but dropped to poor.

I like my faucet and it works great after two years however the soap dispenser is horrible
My Delta faucet was installed in March of 2015 and has worked great ever sense. The soap dispenser worked great at first but after two years very little soap comes out to the point it almost doesn't work at all. I have always had Delta faucets without a problem but the soap dispenser needs a rework as it does not last as long as the faucet.

Great faucet, cheap soap dispenser
I have use Delta faucets anytime I have needed to replace a faucet in my home. I have grow comfortable with the quality and reliability of your products, until now. While the replacement kitchen faucet has worked well, the soap dispenser barely lasted a few months. The very top part broke most likely to being plastic. I have tried to find a replacement part at Lowes and Home Depot but have been unsuccessful. How can I easily get the needed part without cheeseparing the entire assembly?

Soap dispencer broken spout.
We also purchased the Delta Deluca Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet (Model #:19912-SSSD-DST) that came bundled with the RP50781 - Dispenser Assembly.
The faucet has been flawless, but the dispenser broke after a couple of years. It appears the the top snapped clean off the plastic base (leaving the screws still in place), my wife is very careful and not sure how this broke. On inspection, this is a very cheap plastic part that should be better made if it is to be sold with Delta faucets, which are typically of high quality and great design.
How can I get a replacement top spout? It seems a shame and unnecesary expense to have to replace the whole dispencer.

Short lived
Bought this Delta soap dispenser with a matching fosset. Was very pleased until it broke in a way I cannot fix it but replace it. The inner parts that hold the screws of the mechanism itself broke off. The annoying part is not only I will have to put money into a new soap dispenser but now I have to find a solution that will match the existing fosset.

Great faucet. Soap dispenser...not so much
Like other reviewers, having problems with the soap dispenser not working after a couple of years. Tried cleaning everything completely, but still the dispenser is hard to push down, and very slow to return to its normal up position. My wife is frustrated....

Like many others, the faucet is great but the soap dispenser sticks down
The soap dispenser started sticking after about 2 years. It will be 3 years old in July, but you can only get a single squirt out of it - the spring isn't strong enough to return it to a ready position.
We've been very happy with the faucet 19958-DST, and were originally very pleased with the soap dispenser before it started sticking.

Poorly Designed Soap Dispenser
We have had this soap dispenser for 2 and 1/2 years. From the time that is was installed is has not worked correctly. The top would just spin around and would not stay positioned over the sink. Now it will not pump. It is like it is locked up. We have soaked it in warm water but to no avail. We have reverted to the use of a bottle of soap on the counter. We love the faucet and have always bought Delta products, but the soap dispenser is a piece of junk. Looks nice, but doesn't work. With all of the complaints, I would think that Delta would come up with a more reliable replacement.

2d Pump Failure in 1 Yr
Purchased this as part of a 4 piece kitchen set at Lowes in Jacksonville NC and installed to replace ~13 year old Delta equipment from original home construction. ~18-24 months after installation, the plastic pump action became stiff. Despite lube attempts, it ceased working. Managed to swap it out with Lowes sales staff. 5-7 months after replacing, exactly the same series of events and the new plastic unit is useless. Using a stand alone bottle now.
Very much like the design and lines of the sink fixtures, but the critical plastic pump is unreliable.

Disappointed
Love the faucet, however, this soap dispenser is very cheaply made. Ours just broke after 3 years of light use. Replacing the part is very expensive. I suppose we will have to look at other brands now. Very disappointing.

Soap Dispenser
Soap dispenser came with faucet. Faucet is fantastic. The soap dispenser on the other hand does not dispense soap in any usable quantity anymore. When the dispenser is depressed it no longer returns to its proper pumping height. Inspection of the components shows that it will not rise back up after you push it down. Dispenser mount and bottle are fine. Its the internal plastic pump piston that has failed. Very frustrating and useless at this point.

Easy installation and fills from the top!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We added this to our island sink and we're glad we did! Installation is very simple. I was relieved to find that the dispenser is filled from the top so
I don't have to crawl under the sink! You just have to pour very slowly, especially if the soap you choose has a very thick viscosity.

Soap dispenser does not work.
Have used Delta faucets throughout this house for 24 years without a problem/part I could not easily fix myself. New Delta kitchen faucet came with
soap dispenser two years ago. Dispenser no longer pumps soap. Seems as though spring action is gone but cannot find any evidence that there was a
spring. Looking at the web site at part # RP50781, RP47888, AND RP21945, but do not know what I need.

love the faucet but the soap dispenser is horrible,
have had this product for less then a year. when the soap dispenser was installed was hard to operate took way too much effort to get out a bit of soap and i would have to pump it six times to get a decent amount. as time went on less and less soap came out and now its stopped working completely. it seems ridiculous that i would have to spend 60 dollars for something when all i need is the little plastic pump part.
thinking about buying a cap to cover up the hole and getting a separate soap dispenser.
Delta, if you look at all these comments, we are all having the same problem either fix the design or sell just the pump.

Very unexpected cheap Delta Pumping Mechanism
Since becoming a home owner over 15 years ago I have used Delta facets in my baths and kitchens. The reason great quality and extremely long life.
Not so true with the purchase of my last Delta kitchen set. The faucet is again what i expect from Delta but the soap dispenser is cheap plastic and I mean cheap.
It has failed the spout connection has broken in several pieces due to cheap plastic.
Summary Delta you make great faucets please put the same Delta quality into the accessories.
Would not recommend any of the soap dispensers if they are the cheap plastic stick with the metal types (durable concept for price we pay).

can a cream type lhan soap be used with this dispenser?

Thank you for your question. Our Delta Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. Foaming soap will pump from the soap dispenser but it will not foam.

How to refill the bottle
Can't simply pour soap into top... it just overflows. Do you make some easy way to handle this?
Thank you for your question. We do recommend filling your soap dispenser from the top to prevent bottle breakage from taking the bottle on and off. We do offer a funnel that may make it easier when filling your soap dispenser from the top. Delta Faucet model # RP30395 can be purchased at your local retailer or wholesaler.

Soap Dispenser Instructions RP50781 - does black gasket (part #4) go on top of sink or underneath?
Picture shows gasket above sink, but instructions state to put through hole in sink - which is correct?

Is there a replacement pump replacement that uses foaming soap?
I have a new Delta kitchen faucet that came with this soap dispenser and would like to replace just the pump portion so I could use foaming soap that foams when pumping into my hand.

Thank you for your question. The RP47888 is the only pump made for the Delta RP50781 Soap/Lotion Dispenser. Soap Dispensers can use liquid dish soap, liquid hand soap, alcohol based hand-sanitizer,and even typical hand lotions. We do not recommend foaming soaps, because Delta soap/lotion dispensers are not designed to release foam from them.

I need a replacement soap dispenser bottle for my faucet 4353-AR-DST. Is there a part number?
Also, the handle on mine does not look like the one in the parts list that is shown on this website. See photo.
Hi Tracy, Thank you for your question. The 4353-AR-DST was not offered with a soap dispenser. Only the (SS) brilliance stainless 4353-SSSD-DST, and the chrome 4353-SD-DST came with the soap dispenser. Based on your photograph the soap dispenser pictured is not a Delta product.
