Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delta tub spout Do not overtighten! It will ruin the water diverter. No directions concerning this. I’m a slow learner....got it right on the third one.

how do you remove the plastic adapter on the coper pipe of the spout

Asked by: ramon
Hi, ramon! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP51303 tub spout assembly plastic adapter should not come apart. If this is stuck on the copper pipe after uninstallation, we recommend to unscrew the plastic part off of the copper pipe. If you should need further assistance, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. You may also email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. Best Regards, Rosanna

RP51303

Do you have this part with a non-diverter style? You have wall-mount tub-only faucets in only a few styles, but not in Lahara or Dryden, so we have to piece these together with the T14038 and the RP 51303, but I don't want a diverter on a tub-only spout.
Asked by: Jeff
Thank you for your question. There is a non-diverter tub spout that coordinates with the Lahara collection. The model number is RP53237.

Is this plastic?!?

I'm ordering the Delta Lahara Series for two bathrooms, Trinsic for a third and Kate for the kitchen. I just noticed that the tub spout for Lahara is listed as plastic!?! Is anything else in this line plastic? If so, what are other Delta lines that are similar but better made? I've already had the plumber install the shower rough in, so there's no going back. Plus, I really like the look of Delta products. If it's only this tub spout, do y'all make one that's metal that would go with Delta in Stainless? Thanks!
Asked by: FSpeyer
Hi FSpeyer, Thank you for your question. This tub spout is non-metallic. Our products are composed of both metallic and non-metallic components. All of our products are built to last and come with a lifetime warranty. However, we do have metallic tub spouts available, such as the RP64721SS. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp64721ss.html Best regards, Jon

What is the correct pipe length needed from the wall to the end of a 1/2" threaded IPS to mount the RP51303 spout?

This is a remodel installation as part of the T17438-▲H2O.
Asked by: Brad
Hi Brad, Thank you for your question! If threading the RP51303 onto 1/2" IPS nipple the pipe must be 5/8 - 1 5-8" from the finish wall. Best regards, Brandis

Where can I find a manual for the spout RP51303SS? I can't remove it for some reason and want to see how it can uninstalled. Thank you.

Asked by: Max123
Thank you for your question Max123! The RP51303SS tub spout can either be installed using an adapter that is sweat onto 1/2" C.W.T. or threaded onto 1/2" IPS. The tub spout will simply unscrew. https://bit.ly/2JDHQA4 Best regards, Edward

Does this faucet have a water flow reduction aspect? By the time my tub fills, the water is cold. Didn't have a problem with my old faucet. I have to turn the water to almost all hot to have it stay warm enough for the tub to fill. It is a fairly big tub

Asked by: SaraS
Hi SaraS, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Our Delta Faucet Lahara® Tub Spout - Pull-Up Diverter In Chrome MODEL#: RP51303 does not have a flow restrictor, the flow rate of our tub spout would depend on the PSI in your home and would produce approximately 8-10 GPM. We would recommend a flush to remove any debris or blockage causing a lower than normal flow. Please see the step-by-step instructions below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle by loosening the set screw on the side of the base of the handle. The set screw is either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen screw. So you will need to use the appropriate size Allen wrench to loosen it. Loosen it just enough to be able to easily pull the handle off. * Note. If there is calcium build-up at the base of the handle, it may be necessary to soak it in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Simply saturate the rag with the 50/50 solution, wrap it around the handle base and place a plastic bag over it. I would recommend doing this the night before removing the handle. 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. If it does not, the cartridge will need to be replaced. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole
