RESEÑAS
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic - Beware! Terribly disappointed. Spec sheet for the set indicates made of brass, but the tub spout is 100% plastic. At this price point, that's all wrong. Stay away!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Produce Quality Tub Spouts It's a shame with the quality that Delta produces they manufacture tub spouts that are plastic. I understand the warranty, but the quality and feel is lacking. I have Dryden throughout our home and for a quality line I am left with plastic. Very disappointed. Time to step up your game.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Plastic I've bought many Delta Dryden faucets and accessories for our hotel and have been very happy. However, the tub spout is plastic! I am so disappointed. I wish they had a higher quality product to match this line.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as pictured! I have purchased 3 faucets, a Roman tub trim kit, a shower head and handle all in Venetian Bronze in the Dryden series. Love them but this spout does not match exactly. There is more bronze edging on this piece. It is very distinct, not subtle.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dryden Tub Filler The style of the fixture is beautiful but the Champagne Bronze finish is easily marked. We are still working with Delta to resolve this issue and hopefully there is a simple solution.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice but feels like plastic I purchased this along with a whole bathroom worth of higher-end delta products. Most of the other pieces have a weighty metal feel to them, but this feels like plastic. It looks nice and functions well. The brilliance stainless finish does have a tendency to spot.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointed Looks great until you touch it. Just really cheap plastic. I was expecting all of my Delta product to be a nice sturdy chrome like all of the other delta product I bought. But not the diverter spout for my tub. Very disappointed in that one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look, but it shows water spots I love the look of stainless steel or brushed nickel as the 'new' finish to give my remodeled 20-year-old bathrooms a modern look. I have problems with this particular item, however. I wipe off the water spots after every use (I know - I am very picky) so they always look new and clean. I have a very hard time getting the spots off this particular finish, but not other items with similar finish.

I have a Dryden Spotshield finish Tub Spout that got dented and needs replaced. Will the Stainless Spout have the same look, appearance, or color as the Spotshield Stainless Spout?

Is there installation instructions for the Dryden Pull-Up Diverter Tub Faucet

Asked by: GregS
Hello GregS, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! The Delta Faucet DRYDEN™ Tub Spout - Pull-Up Diverter MODEL#: RP52148 uses the RP12307 adapter, Which can be soldered onto 1/2" copper pipe or threaded onto a 1/2" IPS pipe nipple. This adapter should be soldered between 5/8" – 1 5/8” from the finished wall. Once the adapter is installed the tub spout can be threaded onto the adapter for a tight seal. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Do you sell the plastic part that goes inside of this spout and connects to the pipes in the wall? And what is that part actually called?

Asked by: Momtotheateam
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the plastic adapter is not available as a separate piece. The entire tub spout will have to be replaced. Thanks, Sherry

There is a square plastic piece that is placed right before the water leaves the faucet. I can send a picture if need be. Am I supposed to leave this in or do I take it out? My water pressure seems low out of the faucet but is fine out of the shower head

Asked by: Josh
Hello Josh, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! The Delta RP52148 tub spout has a maximum flow rate of 7.0 GPM @ 60 psi, the part at the tip of the spout does not need to be removed. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Where is the aerator? It must be clogged because little hot water will flow out.

Asked by: Patrick
Hello Patrick! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. There is no aerator in the Delta DRYDEN™ Tub Spout - Pull-Up Diverter MODEL#: RP52148SS. We recommend soaking the tub spout in a 50% warm water and 50% white vinegar solution. We also recommend flushing the valves of your shower: Turn off the hot and cold supply to the valve. This may involve shutting off the water to the entire residence, or for the room or fixture. [Or there may be supply stops on the valve itself behind the escutcheon requiring removal of the handle.] Turn the volume control on to relieve any pressure behind the valve. Remove the handle, There may also be a trim sleeve to slide off of the valve. If you have supply stops on the valve itself, you will remove the escutcheon plate to access those. Remove the bonnet. A strap wrench works best to not deform the bonnet. Caution: Be careful not to twist the valve. Remove the cartridge by wiggling as you pull, taking care to protect the stem. If the cartridge has a metal stem, reattach the handle to provide a better grip. Check inside the valve for any other components and remove those. Once all the parts have been removed from the valve, close the shower curtain or door. Caution: the water may be very hot. Turn both of the water supply valves on full and let the water run for 60-90 seconds. Perform any maintenance on the removed components. Reassemble the shower valve. Check for leaks. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Best Regards, Carrie

The plastic water flow piece in the tub faucet really slows the water flow. Can this be adjusted or removed. I have a soaking tub and this flow just isn't adequate. The shower is fine.

Asked by: JAG2
Hi JAG2, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. Our Delta Faucet Dryden™ Tub Spout Pull-Up Diverter In Matte Black MODEL#: RP52148BL does not control the flow of water, low flow would be caused by a blockage or debris in the valve. I have included the step-by-step instructions on flushing the rough valve, please see the steps below. To flush the open valve without the cartridge, please follow the directions below. 1) Remove the handle, I have included a how-to video link below to show how the different shower handles are removed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGjEgAUHX8c 2) After removing the handle, remove the trim sleeve. 3) Then you will need to remove the bonnet nut. The bonnet nut is the threaded ring at the valve opening. It unscrews counterclockwise. You will need a pipe wrench or a pair of channel locks. 4) After removing the bonnet nut, you will need to pull the cartridge straight out. You may need a small, skinny bladed screwdriver to wedge in between the lip of the cartridge and the valve to help start it out. 5) Once the cartridge is removed, you will have an open valve body. 6) Next, shut the shower door or curtain and turn the water on to the valve. Water should gush out, much like an open fire hydrant. Have someone observe if there is good water pressure coming out of the valve and let it flush for 30 seconds. 7) Re-install the cartridge and re-assemble in reverse of how it was disassembled. The Tub/Shower should then have a good flow. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole
