If the supplier code in the back of the faucet escutcheon assembly has no 'A' after the 6 digit code, and you have a round connection for your valve end/hose assembly, you will want RP40301 cap. If the supplier code in the back of the faucet escutcheon plate assembly does have an 'A' after the 6 digit code, and the connection for the valve end/hose assembly is square, you will need RP60295. You can usually find Delta faucet parts at any dealer that sells Delta faucets. To know what cap to use for your faucet, you will want to look at the back of the faucet for the supplier code. If your supplier code says 413763-A and has a square end, you will need cap part number RP60295. If your supplier code says 413763 (without an 'A'), you will need cap part number RP40301. Big news for your advice regarding removal of the button on top. It does not just pop off! The thing needs to be unscrewed! Because of your advice I have damaged the button on the top. Can you send me two bottoms to replace the now damaged ones?

We recommend changing the stem unit assembly and flushing the Delta Faucet Windemere® Two Handle Kitchen Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 21996LF. To Flush the system/Check for leaks, follow the directions below. 1. Remove the aerator 2. Turn faucet handles all the way on. 3. Turn on hot and cold water supplies and flush water lines for one minute. Important: This flushes away any debris that could cause damage to internal parts. Check all connections at arrows for leaks.
