This model sink does not show hard water deposits typically, and this is due to the surface being non porous and cleans very easily, now depending on the quality of the water supply and what is deposited before you wipe the surface clean, what is visible is completely up to the water quality itself. You can always also invest in a water purification unit which does remove almost all of those types of deposits. The general rule of thumb is you want to have at least 3 extra inches of interior cabinet space greater than the size of our sink. We require the extra space to ensure there's enough room for the mounting hardware required for installation. For a 32" sink, a 35" cabinet should be enough. GENERAL CLEANING To prevent water spots, clouding, and discoloration, rinse and wipe the inside of the sink with a microfiber cleaning cloth after every use. For a more thorough cleaning, use water and a mild liquid soap detergent (ammonia-free). Apply the cleaner with a soft sponge or nylon brush and scrub in circular motions. Remember to thoroughly wash away any extra soap left behind after cleaning. HARD WATER SOLUTIONS & DEEP CLEANING To prevent mineral deposits from forming on the sink in areas with hard water, rinse the inside of the sink and wipe it with a microfiber cleaning cloth after every use. To deep-clean tough stains, products to consider include: Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, Supreme Surface Scum & Mineral Deposit Remover. Make sure to follow the cleaning instructions provided by the product’s manufacturer. THINGS TO AVOID • DO NOT place pots, pans, or utensils straight from the stove directly on the sink surface • DO NOT use cleaners containing any abrasive powders, bleach, ammonia, alcohol, or chlorine. These products may damage the sink surface • DO NOT use any abrasive pads, steel wool, or wire brushes when cleaning the sink. You will want to install the disposal unit the same way you would into any other kitchen sink, the reason is that our sink has the standard size drain opening for the industry. The only exception to this would be if your disposal unit manufacturer makes a shallow flange, in that case you would have to request a deeper flange from said manufacturer.
