Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very difficult to pump soap. Get very small drop. From first time it was used. What is the problem?
Date published: 2024-11-23
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Length of spout. Only downside is length of spout. Needs to be a little longer (maybe only 1/2 to 1 inch) to reach over edge of sink. It’s difficult to reach a dish or pan placed underneath. When detergent added directly to sink some trickles down the side. The problem may be the single sink with edge around top. Otherwise ok. Matches the faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken pegs holding the tubes I have had this for quite a few years, without any trouble. And have enjoyed the convenience, yesterday, I noticed it was sitting funny, since I just filled the bottle. But, I have searched, and to replace the top, I would have to buy a brand new one. Why, is the top, not available to buy, by itself, considering the rest is in good condition. I have learned how to fill, without overflowing it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Looking Soap Dispenser This is a fine product and works well. The design of the soap dispenser looks good, but otherwise there's nothing special about it. A good choice and nice looking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ugh, soap only trickles out This soap dispenser looks great, but….. it’s very hard to pump the soap out. It takes many consecutive pumps before we get enough out to wash our dishes. It’s such a slow process. It was installed in May 2023. It’s Feb 2024.

Black gasket placement on soap dispenser installation

The diagram photo and your previous reply in Q&A state that the black gasket should be installed on top of the sink. How is this possible, there is then a gap (probably 2 mm large, the size of the gasket) between the base of the product and the sink, the dispenser will not sit flush mount, water will definitely get into the gap. The mounting nut is tightly in place underneath, that is not the issue, the design seems majorly flawed. How do you get a flush mount installation to avoid water damage when the black gasket is preventing the unit from sitting flush?
Asked by: Susan
Dear Susan, Thank you for your question. The gasket for installing the Delta RP50781 Soap/Lotion dispenser is a thin foam white gasket. This gasket fits on the underside of the trim base, that sits on the sink/counter top. Best regards, Tanya

What type of hand soap should I be using in my Delta model 11946-SD-DST soap dispenser?

The dispenser seems to get plugged up frequently. I am currently using a brand called Softsoap. I have also used Dial liquid. They both just plug up the dispenser. Should I be using a liquid foaming soap?
Asked by: Vicki
Hi Vicki, Thank you for your question. Any liquid soap will work in the soap dispensers. The foamimg soap will not foam when used in the soap dispenser. Without frequent use the soap can dry out affecting the performance of the dispenser. Thanks, Dave

Is there a shorter soap dispenser bottle? We cannot install the bottle due to the location of the plumbing. We would need a 4 inch bottle instead of the large capacity 6.5 inch height.

Asked by: Becky Beasley
Thank you for your question, Becky! Unfortunately we do not manufacture a 4" soap dispenser bottle and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause however our sister company Liberty Hardware does offer an above counter soap dispenser to match our Victorian collection that mounts to the wall instead as model number 75055. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/75055 Best regards, Edward

Which finish is closer to "Brushed Nickel". Stainless or Artic Stanless?

I am trying to match existing Delta Kitchen faucet with replacement Delta soap dispenser for which the spout broke off. This dispenser has a potentially stronger design so the spout will not break off, but is not available in "Brushed Nickel".
Asked by: Hamilton
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP50781 is available in Champagne Bronze, Artic Stainless, Stainless Steel, Chrome and Venetian Bronze. The Artic Stainless has a bluish tint and most closely resembles the stainless steel applicances in the market today. The Stainless Steel finish has a more gold tint to it and looks a little more brushed than the Artic Stainless.

Black gasket placement on soap dispenser

Your previous answer regarding the placement of the black rubber gasket during installation states that there in a thin foam white gasket that fits on the underside of the trim base, that sits on the sink/counter top. Since this foam white gasket has already been affixed, I assume your instuctions to remove the gasket refers to the black rubber gasket? If so, where should I install this black rubber gasket?

There's a loose black rubber gasket & also a white sealant attached the bottom of the base that affixes to the top side of the sink. The white seal seems to replace silicone. Does the black gasket still go above the sink, or below with the plastic nut?
