Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not included! But necessary! The Tub Shower set looks beautiful. BUT...I am missing the part I need to finish my tub shower! Could not figure out if I had lost a part or what. Spent way too much time on this. Like everyone else... terrible instructions... everything is in three languages... That's great! But... please, give us three sets of instructions! instead of all together in one giant fold up piece of paper. On Wayfair the specs say this 144749 Nicoli Single-Function Tub Shower Faucet Set is for Water Inlet Pipe Thread NPT; Copper / CC; Pex. Perfect! BUT... it will not function with 1/2" NPT without an adaptor that is not included!!! Now I find I have to order it and wait another week to get the part. Inconvenient?! Definitely. So now I have to order this part for an additional cost + shipping and wait. For a company that is not that highly regarded by home improvement professionals I talked with, you should do everything you can to help the DIY community by giving clear and accurate instructions... (and by using a web form form that does not make you disable ad blockers to use.)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but BAD directions. This came with the tub spout I ordered. The bag has instructions printed on it but there are no paper instructions. If there were proper instructions I would realize you could EITHER, sweat it onto copper OR slip fit it over copper with the interior O ring and included set screw. I tried to sweat it on. However, with the interior O ring in place (instructions didn't say anything about it), it pushed all the flux out of the way. And also caught on fire when sweating-that's when I realized it was in there. So now I am going to have to sweat it off, clean it and the copper pipe, then re-sweat it into place. OR order another one and just use the slip fit option. There's no excuse for such poor instructions. Hindsight tells me I should have known better, but such is life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality Control I purchased a Delta Shower and Tub Kit over the weekend. I've spent the past two days trying to figure out why my spout kept leaking when I turned the shower on. After doing some research last night I realized that I had the wrong adapter. According to Delta this part is needed based on their instructions. However, they don't tell you that you have to order this separate. To add to the issue, this part isn't considered an expedited part and will take up to 10 days to get to me!!!

What specific tub spouts will work with this adapter? Currently replacing our tub spout and this adapter is already in place. It seems that many of the tub spouts we have looked at can't be used with this adapter.

Asked by: Nina T
Hi, Nina T! Thank you for your question. The tub spouts in the Monitor 14 Series trim kits in the Delta Ashlyn Collection will have the RP100154 adapter assembly. Here is a list of Ashlyn Trim kits: T14464 T14464-RB T14464-SS T14464-LHD T14464-RBLHD T14464-SSLHD Best Regards, Rosanna

looking for part rp100154, seems like there are two versions of this part, need the universal and can only find sweat/thread adapter. HELP!

Asked by: radko
Hello radko! Thank you for your question! I am happy to help. We manufacture three different types of adapters for Delta Tub Spouts. Thread on, slip-on and sweat on. We do not manufacture a universal tub spout adapter. Please reach out to us directly if you need further assistance. Best Regards, Antoine

Really, almost 200 dollars for a Porter set and it doesnt come with what is needed to instal the Tub spout. Please advise me on where to get this adapter for the 144984C-BN-A set i will be using the Slip on instalation.

Asked by: William
Hi William, Thank you for your question! I apologize for any confusion. The Delta RP47841 tub spout assembly that is included with the Delta Monitor 144984 Trim Kit does not come with an adapter assembly. This is designed to thread into the nose only. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist

Does this work for unthreaded copper pipe with PN RP64862? If not is there another adapter available that does?

Asked by: KT Henna
Hello KT Henna, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta Faucet RP100154 spout adapter can install to 1/2" copper tube using solder sweat joint, slip-on using supplied set screw and o-rings, or thread onto 1/2" pipe. The RP64862 tub spout includes the RP12307 spout adapter which can install to 1/2" copper tube using solder sweat joint or thread onto 1/2" pipe. This tub spout can also be installed with the RP100154 adapter. Best regards, Bryan

WHAT IS THE THREAD SIZE FOR THE SET SCREW ON THE RP100154?

Asked by: LOCKE SUPPLY

Is the RP100154 supposed to be able to be used with a 1/2" iron pipe? It doesn't fit and that adapter model is what came with my tub/shower kit.

Asked by: Lisa
Hi Lisa, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Yes, the Tub Spout Adapter MODEL#: RP100154 can be installed with a slip-on connection to a 1/2" copper tube using the included set screw and o-rings. A solder sweat joint is not needed for the slip-on installation method. See the manual for more information: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/100838%20Rev%20C.pdf Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist

I just received my BT14496-OB trim kit. Only hang up is the tub spout, instructions say a universal adapter is needed but this one doesn't look right. What adapter(s) are available to fit my spout??

Asked by: lar10
Hello lar10, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Our Delta BT14496-OB comes with a tub spout that threads directly onto a 1/2" pipe near the nose. The installation sheet is a universal guide for more then one type of tub spout install. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Last question. Does copper pipe need to connect be sweated to a copper elbow per directions or can a brass drop ear elbow be used for stability? I would imagine the copper pipe to copper elbow would be easier to sweat but not as stable behind wall.

Asked by: Gret
Hi Gret, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP100154. If this adapter is installed with a Delta MultiChoice valve rough, the pipe to the tub spout must be a minimum of 1/2" copper or iron pipe. No push fittings and no "shark-bite" fittings. No cast or drop ear elbows. See here for more information: https://support.deltafaucet.com/s/article/Shower-Rise Please reach out with any additional questions!
