Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but BAD directions. This came with the tub spout I ordered. The bag has instructions printed on it but there are no paper instructions. If there were proper instructions I would realize you could EITHER, sweat it onto copper OR slip fit it over copper with the interior O ring and included set screw. I tried to sweat it on. However, with the interior O ring in place (instructions didn't say anything about it), it pushed all the flux out of the way. And also caught on fire when sweating-that's when I realized it was in there. So now I am going to have to sweat it off, clean it and the copper pipe, then re-sweat it into place. OR order another one and just use the slip fit option. There's no excuse for such poor instructions. Hindsight tells me I should have known better, but such is life.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Quality Control I purchased a Delta Shower and Tub Kit over the weekend. I've spent the past two days trying to figure out why my spout kept leaking when I turned the shower on. After doing some research last night I realized that I had the wrong adapter. According to Delta this part is needed based on their instructions. However, they don't tell you that you have to order this separate. To add to the issue, this part isn't considered an expedited part and will take up to 10 days to get to me!!!

I have a monitor T-14451-SS trim package w/48535SS spout. I do not want to solder the adapter to the1/2” copper tailpiece. Can I use the RP100154 or RP33794 adapters ?.  Thank you Greg

Directions specify cutting copper pipe flush to adapter after sweating the adapter to pipe. What is best method to cut it flush? I can’t cut it flush with my tube cutter after it has been soldered. Shouldn’t the copper pipe be cut before adapter is placed

Directions are very confusing (directions on bag are not the same as the brochure), so two more questions: Does copper pipe for tub spout get cut off a distance from the wall equal to the length of adapter plus a quarter to half an inch?

Will this adapter work with the tub spout for a Delta Mandara Tub & Shower set?

Our Delta Faucet DELTA® Tub Spout Adapter - Tri Universal MODEL#: RP100154 is not compatible with the Mandara tub spout. The RP64862 tub spout uses an RP12307 adapter. Sweats onto 1/2" CWT or threads onto 1/2" IPS nipple. For sweating on the adapter, the copper tube should extend 2"-4" from the finished wall; the back of the adapter should be 1/4" to 1/2" from the finished wall. For threading on an adapter, the end of the thread fitting on the pipe should be 5/8" to 1-5/8" from the finished wall. Use thread tape or paste. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Looking for tub spouts that can slip on to the R10000-PFT-MFWS 0.5 PEX Cold Expansion with Stops Tub & Shower Rough-In valve. Or do you have any adapters that can fit a threaded tub spout to this 90-degree tub drop. I'm trying to avoid soldering.

My contractor cut the pipe to exactly 1.88" or millimeters less than that and the inside o-ring is not getting a good seal. Is there a shorter version of this adapter that i can use?

Follow up to my last question. I was mistakenly looking at this item when the adapter I have is RP33794. At 9/16" shorter than the RP33794, this may work. Do I have the dimensions correct? More importantly, are the threads on the two models the same?

I bought Valdosta 144757C-RB.  The adaptor included in the box is p/n 12307(no set screw). The directions in the box say I should have p/n RP100154 (set screw). I am trying to use the copper slip on installation and need the set screw.
