Conversion Valve for this unit

I have the 1500/1700 series faucet with Cartridge RP32104 that I read on here. The brown Hot/Cold portion is VERY hard to turn now and I think caused the brown portion of the plastic adjustment handle to break, RP 16202. Can I lube this inner turning valve portion to prevent this? OR... I would like to Replace it with a regular basic single handle turning lever and Cartridge. Hi YurHandyman, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your 1500 series faucet. If the temperature handle becomes difficult to move the issue is most likely the RP32104 cartridge which will need to be replaced. The RP32104 will come pre-lubed. If you damaged the RP16202 temperature knob that will need to be replaced as well. Unfortunately it is not possible to convert your 1500 series faucet to a basic single handle turning lever without changing the rough in valve. Thanks, Dave

will this fix my problem

I have a Delta Monitor Shower Faucet & the temperature control knob often gets stuck resulting in not being able to adjust the temperature. What do you think is the problem? I do not have the model # but attached a photo.

Hi Karen, Thank you for your question. If you did not have prior trouble with the temperature knob then the likely issue is the cartridgge, not the handle. The replacement cartridge for your 1500 series faucet is RP32104. Thanks, Dave

Do they sell a stainless trim kit for the Monitor 1500? I can't find a list of parts for this model.

Thank you for your question, wolfcooper! If the screws on the escutcheon plate are at 1 o'clock & 7 o'clock, you can install a Monitor 17 Series trim kit using the RP32104 cartridge (sold separately). https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/tub-and-shower-faucets?ValveType=Dual-function+pressure+balance+cartridge Unfortunately, if the screws are at 5 & 7 o'clock on the plate, there are no trim kits available. The valve would need to be replaced with a MultiChoice R10000 valve in order to install a new trim kit. Best regards, Jon
