CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PRODUCTO
Single-function valve cartridge controls the temperature at full output flow. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. The valve cartridge features an adjustable handle limit stop that, when properly set, helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort*. The handle limit stop's integrated design allows easy adjustment via pull and turn. Easily replaced seals make maintenance a snap. Comes with all Delta pressure balance tub and shower faucets. *Requiere que la temperatura del agua de entrada se haya establecido correctamente. Puede requerir un ajuste según la estación.
  • Monitor® single-function pressure balance cartridge
  • Use with Monitor® 1300/1400 Series tub & showers produced before March 2006
  • Allows for temperature control
  • Integrated rotational limit stop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing Better Than OEM Buying directly from Delta rubber stamps OEM components that are built to last. I've learned my lesson about the risk of selecting after market items or those that are advertised as compatible with OEM parts. If you're a DIY guy, especially when dealing with plumbing repairs, my advice is to buy OEM and enjoy significant savings on plumbers fees when the job is complete. More often than expected, 50-75% savings on a part can translate into the frustration of having to repeat the repair and do without for a longer duration until the OEM part is delivered. Being greedy has its unfortunate consequences, so trust Delta over third party sources!

Thank you Delta for supporting the older 1300/1400 Series (pre 4/2006 and earlier). These were in operation for 16 years and just started dripping. You saved me thousands of dollars, just by replacing the valve. THANK YOU DELTA!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Faucets! All of the faucets in our house as Delta. We picked them out 17 years ago during the buying process. Their performance is extraordinary and when we had a small leak, the replacement parts or faucet arrived in a couple of day and totally free of charge. Great products that look and work as well today as they did brand new.

Can the RP19804 cartridge be used with the R10000 Rough-in valve?

Asked by: TerryF
Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. The R10000 rough would not be compatible with the older 1300/1400 cartridge the RP19804. The rough is compatible with the current 13/14 series cartridge the RP46074, the 17 series RP46463, and the 17T thermostatic cartridge RP47201. Thanks, Dave

IS THERE A DELTA O-RING KIT FOR THIS CARTRIDGE

When I service this type of cartridge I usually replace the cups and springs, which I know Delta manufactures, and I only use Delta OEM parts. Is there an o-ring kit part number also? or are there part numbers for the individual body and inlet o-rings?
Asked by: Ed Semler
Hi Ed, Thank you for your question. We do not offer a repair kit for the RP19804. The RP4993 seats and springs, and the RP14414 o-rings that fit around the legs of the cartridge can be ordered as separate items. Thanks, Dave

1. If you can help with the replacement part numbers for the cartridge, seals and springs. 2. Part number for the Rectangle face plate if possible.

What In2ition trim kit will work with this?

I have a Delta 144710-SSI In2ition tub/shower trim kit, but this requires a different cartridge. Does Delta make any trim kits that have a similar appearance that will work with the RP19804?
Asked by: Ryan
Hi Ryan, Thank you for your question! The RP19804 (1400 series) cartridge will allow you to install any 14 series trim kit. Simply use the original valve and cartridge instead of the RP46074 that is included with the trim. Best regards, Jon

Which size of the allen key I should use for RP19804 replacement part

I try to use 1/8" Allen key. But it doesn't seen to fit. Our shower assembly is installed back in 1999. Should I try using 3/16"? It seen like it fit. But not sure if I want to try before Delta confirm it.
Asked by: Daniel
Hi Daniel, Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we can't say for certain, since this cartridge is used with many different models. However, the set screw should take either a 1/8" or 3/32" Allen wrench. Best regards, Jon

Hi DJ, Thank you for your question. The cartridge will come completely assembled including the Rotational Limit Stop. Due to variations in water temperature and pressure, the stop will most likely be in the middle position. Please test the maximum water temperature and make any needed adjustments after installation. Will the RP19804 cartridge convert my monitor (circa 1995) WITH volume control to single lever operation?

Asked by: AJ704
Thank you for your question, AJ704! The RP19804 cartridge will only work with a 1300/1400 series trim, that has a valve body that was installed prior to 2006. If the existing trim is not a Delta 1300/1400 series valve trim, the RP19804 cartridge will not be able to fit into the valve. I just got (10/2019) a new RP19804 cartridge. The RLS setting/operation is now different from that shown in your current on-line instructions (https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/34459RevA.pdf)! You need to update the on-line instructions!

Asked by: AstroDave
Hello AstroDave, Thank you for your question. The original older RP19804 cartridge did have a semi-circle or raised stop that was visible and detachable, which are still used in some older faucets. The cartridges now have the enclosed rotational limit, we advise checking the Maintenance/Installation paperwork, that comes with the faucet. Information on adjusting this setting can be found on page 8, step 4 of the maintenance and installation manual below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/72264%20Rev%20G.pdf Best regards, Tanya

1400 series tub faucet

house built in year 2000. little of no hot water comes out, ok on cold side.
Asked by: Jackie
Thank you for you question Jackie! The RP19804 cartridge has a pressure balance spool inside that may not be working correctly due to mineral buildup. The cartridge can be taken apart to reveal this pressure balance spool. Rinse generously and re-assemble the cartridge. Before re-inserting, you will also want to flush out the valve to ensure no debris enters the cartridge. I will include a link below on how to flush your shower valve. If this does not help then the cartridge may need replaced. https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/video-page?videoId=aHDE586LwYk Best Regards, Edward

I just received replacement part RP19804 and I'm having trouble getting the bonnet nut to brake loose. Would soaking it over night with a rag soaked in white vinegar help? Or, is there another solution to my problem? Thanks, DW

Asked by: Darryl
Hi Darryl, Thank you for your inquiry! The bonnet ring should unscrew counter-clockwise for you. If it will not unscrew for you, then I would suggest using a 50/50 or stronger mixture of tap water and white vinegar. Soak a rag in the mixture and wrap the rag around the bonnet ring area. Use tongs if necessary. Leave the rag in place for 15 minutes or so. This should help dissolve the calcium build up, so that the bonnet ring will unscrew for you. Remove the rag and attempt to unscrew the bonnet ring or you can leave it on so that you do not scratch the bonnet ring with your tool. Make sure that the entire valve body does not start to rotate as you do this. Repeat if necessary up to 4 times, taking care to protect surfaces that may be damaged by vinegar. The white vinegar can stain porous stones like granite, limestone and marble. Best regards, Tanya

Asked by: Glen
Hi, Glen. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta bath faucet. Asked by: Larry123
Thank you for your question, Larry123! I'm very sorry for any confusion, however our cartridges have a rotational limit stop that allows you to adjust for hotter water. The cartridge comes pre-set to the coldest setting to prevent accidental scalding. Information on adjusting this setting can be found on page 8, step 4 of the maintenance and installation manual below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/72264%20Rev%20G.pdf Best regards, Edward
