If you have a two-handle faucet and are trying to remove the spout, the base of the spout typically unscrews first, which then allows you to pull the spout off. Hi Hippycrit, thank you for your interest in the RP20049! The spout assembly can be removed by first unscrewing the bonnet/skirt counterclockwise from the base plate. Once unscrewed, the spout assembly can then be pulled straight up and off. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance.
