Rated 3 out of 5 by from Replacement was excellent The replacement faucet looks great! I'm disappointed that the finish on the original faucet was pitted in 3 places even though everything else including the separate spray nozzle and water handle were fine. I hope this faucet lasts longer than the original one, but this house is new to me so I don't know exactly what may have happened to cause the finish to corrode. At least I didn't have to replace everything and you made getting the appropriate part very easy--I spoke with a customer rep who was most helpful. Thank you! Nancy

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta faucets are junk, don't buy Bought a delta replacement spout. Didn't last very long. Paint started bubbling and then water leaked through the bubbles. I have water softener, so it is not a hard water issue. Delta would not honor a warranty. Other parts of the faucet have remained decent looking. Save yourself money and buy a different brand that will last a long time, especially considering how much faucets and replacement parts cost. The Delta brand is cheap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as expected The faucet was exactly as I expected and since it was discontinued - very difficult to find. The web site was incredibly easy to use! Delivery occurred when promised. I recommended the site to my sister and she used it with the same perfect results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value Cheaper than buying a new faucet for that new faucet look.

can this spout be replaced with a different version?

I'm trying to connect a portable dishwasher and our spout has very few threads to accept an adapter. (trying to avoid a total replacement)
Asked by: jim
Hi Jim, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately there are not any alternative spouts available for the faucets that used the RP21462 spout. Thanks, Dave

This product leaks at the base ; flooding the granite counter top. is there a repair kit that will solve this problem?

Just the the waterfall faucet. #RP21462.
Asked by: Bob
Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. There are 2 o-rings underneath the spout that when replaced should stop the leaking from the base of the spout. Part# RP22934 will contain the 2 o-rings. To access the o-rings you will need to slide the spout bonnet out of the way, remove the spout retainer, and lift the spout off of the body of the faucet. Here is a link to the parts breakdown of the model 172 series faucet to help with the repair. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/172.html?document=pd&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Thanks, Dave

Can I purchase just the aerator for this faucet?

I need a new aerator for my kitchen faucet. I have the stainless steel one in the 172 series.
Asked by: Judy C
Hi Judy, Thank you for your question. The aerator used with the RP21462SS spout assembly is available to order separately as RP18508SS. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp18508ss.html Thanks, Dave

The threaded piece/cap that receives the aerator and attaches to the spout has split on one side parallel to the threaded area. Can it be replaced?

We hope we don't have to replace the whole spout assembly just for this one little broken part...
Asked by: Tim
Hi Tim, Thank you for your question. We consider the internal aerator assembly and the housing around it to be the aerator. You can replace just this part. RP18508WH is the part number for a white aerator, RP18508 for chrome. Thanks, Dave

Is it necessary to use plumbers grease when replacing the O rings at the base of the spout?

Most You Tube videos showing the replacement of O rings suggest using plumbers grease. Is the grease necessary? Thanks.
Asked by: LHT
Hi LHT, Thank you for your question! The o-rings will already be pre-lubricated from the factory. Please avoid using any additional grease. Thanks, Jon

Installion/removal instructions

The base is leaking and very hard to move around.. I received a a new (spout kit last year and now need to install the replacement. Please advise how to accomplish this. Thanks
Asked by: Mario
Hi Mario, Thanks for your question. To remove the old spout, first slide the bonnet up to reveal the spout retainer. You can then pull the retainer open slightly and slide it up the spout. Next, remove the spout by swiveling it back and forth while pulling up. Once the spout is removed, replace the o-rings and install the new parts in reverse order. Thanks, Jon
