Rated 5 out of 5 by from [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right part for the right job, just what I was looking for. I order it and in a few days it was delivered and now no more leaks. Thanks for the fast service. The thing that helped the most was I kept the information on my faucet and had the part numbers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta Set Screw Replacement Part I stopped a slow leak in my kitchen faucet with the Delta RP22934 "O" Rings and the Delta RP21463 Set Screw Replacement Part. Simple to replace and they worked - and I'm not a maintenance kind of guy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Important Part This inexpensive plastic part is very important. Do not replace spout without installing a new one, along with new "O" rings. The faucet spout could be damaged and eventually leak if this part is worn or broken.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as ordered Exactly as ordered - what more can you ask? Fit perfectly - Easy to search and had what I needed to fix my faucet at a reasonable price

Do you have instructions on replacing a RP21463 Retainer and O rings for a 721 Kitchen faucet? It appears from reading the Q&A you shouldn't have to remove the faucet. Please advise

Asked by: Greg
Hello, Thank you for your question! First you will slide the decorative spout bonnet up to reveal the RP21463 retainer. Next, you will firmly pull upward on the spout until it is removed from the valve. You can then remove the existing retainer and put the new one in place. You will put one of the "teeth" of the retainer in the hole in the spout for a secure connection. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Tim Digital Communications Specialist

how to remove the delta retainer-spout?

I am trying to fix a leak that happens when the cold water is turned on. The leak isn't as great when the hot/warm water is turned on.
Asked by: Nick
Hi Nick, Thank you for your question. To remove the RP21463 spout retainer you will want to press down on the retainer and slowly pry apart the bottom of the retainer to release the part from the faucet. Thanks, Dave

How do I remove spout bonnet RP40371 from body RP40370 on a model 187 series faucet?

The tapered profile of the bonnet does not allow for a strap wrench to get purchase on it - as you apply torque it just slides north onto the spout assembly. Alternatively, can I get the spout assembly off of the bonnet to access the o rings without access to the retaining clip, which resides in the bonnet? It seems that if I just whack it northward, I may break the retaining clip, which I can't access at this point.
Asked by: Frank
I just experienced the same frustration with the tapered neck on the bonnet. The solution came from my son when he suggested using duck tape. So I wrapped several 1" strips on the upper part of the neck in order to make it approximately the same diameter as the rest of the bonnet. That gave me enough surface area for the strap wrench to get a good even grip, and after some serious torque the bonnet finally broke free! From there it was all downhill and after replacing the O rings my faucet is now leak free.

how replace RP@ 1463 Retainer spout?

Asked by: Rusi
Hello Rusi, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Our Delta RP21463 can be removed by taking the smaller bonnet located at the bottom of the spout and sliding it straight up. After sliding the bonnet up to reveal the spout retainer, you can then pull the retainer open slightly and slide it up the spout. Lastly take the new retainer and slide it back down the spout to snap in place. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

How do I install the spout retainer (P/N RP21463) on my Waterfall Pull-out Kitchen Faucet? I have the part.. Is there a manual that I could download?

Asked by: Bob B
Hi Bob B, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is what we can do to resolve your issue for you. I have included step-by-step instructions for our Delta Faucet Spout Retainer MODEL#: RP21463 removal and installation. First, start by turning off both hot and cold water, then turn the handle on and in a mixed position to drain any leftover water. Next unthread the bonnet(collar) from the base of the spout, if tight you can soak a rag in 50/50 white vinegar and water and wrap around the bonnet for 5-10 minutes. Once loose, slide it up to find the spout retainer. There should be two tabs, one on each side of the retainer. Pull the tabs out of the spout body and slide the retainer up. Lastly, swivel the spout side to side and pull off the spout. We would also recommend cleaning the faucet body and spout with the 50/50 solution before reinstalling. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

This is a follow-up to my earlier question. I have now managed to properly replace the spout retainer and re-seat the bonnet, but the faucet is still binding somewhere making it difficult to rotate unless I move it very slowly. Can that be fixed?
