RESEÑAS
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive support from Delta This part (Delta RP25513) fixed my 2 handle Delta faucet problem, where I had leaking coming out from the handle. This is the first time I ever attempted a faucet repair myself and it went without a hitch. A video from the Lowes website was a great help. And I have to say, I used the chat feature from the Delta website and it did a great job pointing me to a PDF on their website that told me the exact part that I needed! Very helpful! Then Delta Customer Support followed up with an email to me to see if I needed any assistance. Impressive support from Delta.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to replace, but I love working with Delta. Their parts are easy to find and work with. That said, these replacement cartridges should really come with the spring and seal also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The stem (RP25513) really fixed all our problems!! We bought this stem (RP25513) in 2014 and it fixed our needs, I guess it pays to investigate the parts, or we would be paying out tons of dollars had we not have done it ourselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The exact product Previously I purchased a replacement part from Lowes. Yes it stated it was for a Delta product. From the very first you couldn't turn the handle all the way to the off position or water would drip. The Delta part fit perfect and works perfect. Thank goodness, I was beginning to doubt my plumber skills due to the aftermarket part.

What is the part # for the spring and  seal for the PR25513

Asked by: MCPO
Hi, MCPO! Thank you for your question. The RP25513 stem unit assembly works with the RP4993 seat and spring kit. Here is the link to this kit: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP4993 Best Regards, Rosanna

are the RP25513 and RP24096 stem assemblies interchangeable

Asked by: kolsonaz
Hi, kolsonaz! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP25513 and the Delta RP24096 stem unit assemblies are interchangeable. The only difference the two stems have is the RP25513 includes a 1/4 turn stop. the RP24096 does not include a 1/4 turn stop. The 1/4 turn stop to order with the RP24096 is RP24097. How modify it to make it turn clockwise?

Previous post says take out the stem assembly and rotate 180 degrees. How do you do that?
Asked by: Ken
Hi Ken, Thanks for your question! To make the handle turn the opposite direction, first make sure that the water supplies are shut off under the sink. Next, remove the handle and bonnet nut. On the cold side, the removable 1/4 turn stop should be in the back, and on the hot side it should be in the front. Moving the position of the quarter turn stop changes the direction the handle will turn. If you need to flip the stem unit around, you can pull it completely out, rotate it 180, and reinstall it. Thanks, Jon

I have a part to repair a leaky faucet, # RP1991 cartridge, but do not know the model # / way the valve is constructed. My concern is that

the brass nut in front did not come off easily with pliars but some leaking started at the rear of the valve, which was not visible with the hub on the stem. (The leak did stop when I re-tightened). I now have a strap wrench hoping that will help loosen the nut but do not want to shut down three + units in a condo complex if I end up breaking and having to replace the valve.
Asked by: Dave
Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. I have attached the parts break down to the 1600 series faucet below. Hopefully the image of the valve gives you your answer. Thanks, Dave

If you’re replacing the stem unit, do you recommend also replacing seats and springs to fix water leaking from handle problem? Thank you.

Asked by: Bc Miller
Hello Bc Miller, Thank you for your question. If your two handle faucet is leaking water underneath the hot and cold handles, then the RP25513 (brass with ¼ turn stops) stem units will need to be replaced. If your faucet is just dripping water from the spout when the faucet is not in use, then the RP4993 seats and springs will need to be replaced under both handles. Best regards, Tanya

Stem o-ring for faucet model 2530

Hello, what size is the o-ring on the stem of faucet model 2530? Do you sell Delta brand o-rings at local or big box hardware stores?
Asked by: Independence
Dear Independence, Thank you for your question! The oring that is on the Delta Stem Assembly RP25513 is not a replaceable separate part. To replace the oring you would simply replace the full stem assembly. Best regards, Tanya

What is the difference between part #RP25513 & #RP24096

I have two faucets that are beginning to show signs of wear and tear. On one faucet the hot water handle is beginning to stick slightly when turning it off or on. On the other faucet the faucet is leaking and the leak can be stopped by applying pressure to the hot water handle. I am going to attempt to repair the faucets as opposed to replacing them. On your website I notice that there are two stem unit assembly replacement parts listed along with seats and springs. I want to make sure I order the correct stem unit assembly and I would like to know what the difference is between part #RP25513 & #RP24096 ? Thanks for your assistance.
Asked by: Al
Hi Al, Thank you for your question. The stems are the same except for 1 feature. The RP25513 has what is called a 1/4 turn stop. This is a small removable piece that is placed either in front or back of the stem assembly for use on lever handles. It is not used on knob style handles. Thanks, Dave

how to remove the stem from the faucet

Asked by: brigitta
Thank you for your question, brigitta! The stem unit assemblies can be removed from the valve body once the bonnet nut that holds them in place is removed. The water supplies to the unit must be fully turned off before removing the bonnet with an adjustable wrench, turning counter-clockwise. The stem units will then lift out of the valve body revealing the seats and springs below. Best regards, Edward

Is the stem assembly RP25513 for Delta faucet 3544 interchangeable with RP1740?

I'm replacing the stem assembly because water leaks out through it when I turn on the faucet. If RP25513 and RP1740 are interchangeable, and I leave out the 90 degree stop insert for RP25513 when I install it, will it open 180 degrees like the RP1740? Is it ok to use RP25513 for the cold water faucet and RP1740 for the hot water faucet?
Asked by: Randy
Hi Randy, Thank you for your question. The RP25513 without the 1/4 stop can be used in place of the RP1740. The RP1740 is used on knob style handles that thread in the top of the stem assembly. The RP25513 is used on lever style handles that attach with a set screw into the side of the metal stem on the stem assembly. Both cartridges are used on the hot and cold water sides. Thanks, Dave

Faucet Leaking

Hello, I have a Delta faucet with two handles. Problem: The water is dripping slowly at the faucet. Therefore, I replaced the hot and cold handles with the Delta Faucet RP25513 Stem Assembly. However, the water is still dripping slowly. Please advise. Thank You, Chau
Asked by: Chau
Hi Chau, Thank you for your question. To stop a leak at the faucet you will also want to change out the RP4993 seats and springs. The seats and springs are located in the valve body directly underneath the RP25513 stem assemblies. The metal plate on the bottom of the stem assembly rotates on top of the rubber seat creating the seal. Over time the seats wear and lose the seal. Changing these out should solve your issue. Thanks, Dave

The faucet leaks below both handles. What part will most likely fix the problem? The bonnet nut is really tight, is there a trick to loosening it?

Model 2500 series, correct?
Asked by: Dennis
Hi Dennis, Thank you for your question. You will want to replace the RP25513 stem assemblies and the RP4993 seats and springs to stop the leaks. Often mineral build up will make it difficult to remove the bonnet nuts. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the bonnet nut. Allow the solution to soak in overnight if possible to help break up the mineral build up, making the bonnet nut easier to remove. Thanks, Dave
