RESEÑAS
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive support from Delta This part (Delta RP25513) fixed my 2 handle Delta faucet problem, where I had leaking coming out from the handle. This is the first time I ever attempted a faucet repair myself and it went without a hitch. A video from the Lowes website was a great help. And I have to say, I used the chat feature from the Delta website and it did a great job pointing me to a PDF on their website that told me the exact part that I needed! Very helpful! Then Delta Customer Support followed up with an email to me to see if I needed any assistance. Impressive support from Delta.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to replace, but I love working with Delta. Their parts are easy to find and work with. That said, these replacement cartridges should really come with the spring and seal also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The stem (RP25513) really fixed all our problems!! We bought this stem (RP25513) in 2014 and it fixed our needs, I guess it pays to investigate the parts, or we would be paying out tons of dollars had we not have done it ourselves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The exact product Previously I purchased a replacement part from Lowes. Yes it stated it was for a Delta product. From the very first you couldn't turn the handle all the way to the off position or water would drip. The Delta part fit perfect and works perfect. Thank goodness, I was beginning to doubt my plumber skills due to the aftermarket part.

I was given this number RP25513 as the correct part for the diverter in a T1825 Monitor faucet. It just looks like a standard Delta stem for a 2-handle lavatory faucet.I'm going to order it. I hope it is correct. R

Asked by: Ronald
Thank you for your question, Ronald! The RP25513 is a Delta stem unit assembly and is the correct part needed depending on if your model is using the R1824/R1824-WS rough in body. A R1822/R1822-WS Rough in body is larger and would require a different part. The trims look similar so please see the Maintenance and Installation manual below for reference. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/40326RevA.pdf Best regards, Edward

What is the part number for a clockwise stem assembly?

The RP25513 turns counter-clockwise. I am looking for the part number of the equivalent valve stem assembly that turns clockwise.
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. You can make Delta Faucet model # RP25513 turn clockwise by taking out the stem assemblies and flipping them 180 degrees. Re-insert them and they should work the way you requested. Thanks. Jody

I assume I have the correct assembly. I think the faucet is a 2530-24CB. Photo attached. Is this correct?

The stem should be installed so the flat part of the stem faces away from the spout. That puts the crescent-moon shaped opening on the bottom of the stem closest to the spout. But it's over the seats and springs. It's on when off. What is the problem?

Asked by: Mike the Plumber
Hello Mike, Thank you for your inquiry! Below is a step by step walk thru on how to install each stem unit and 1/4 turn stop. I hope the information is helpful. Hot side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white portion of the stem toward the spout. When you install the stem into the valve, you should notice 2 notches in the brass valve body. The stem unit will have a piece in each side that will fit into the notches. These notches should be facing the 3 and 9 o'clock position, if you imagine a clock face. With the stem installed in the valve, you will need to insert the 1/4 turn stop into the slot in the front of the stem unit. Now you will want to tighten down the bonnet nut that screws onto the valve body. Once the nut is hand tight, you might need to reposition the brass arm that is straight up and down on the stem unit. The flat part of this arm should be facing away from the spout. So it should be in the 9 o'clock position. You can rotate this arm by grabbing a hold of it and just twisting it. Once you have it in the 9 o'clock position, you should be able to reinstall the handle and tighten the setscrew. Now when you turn the handle, it should turn toward you. Cold side ~ The stem unit will go into the valve with the raised white part away from the spout. So if you image a clock, the white piece of the stem will be facing the 3 o'clock position. Again, the stem should fit into the two notches at the 3 and 9 o'clock position. The 1/4 turn stop will actually be installed the the back side of the stem. Once that is installed, you can tighten the bonnet nut over the valve and screw it down just hand tight. Grab a hold of the brass arm and twist it until the flat part is facing away from the spout. Again, it will be in the 3 o'clock position just like the white part of the stem. Once that is facing the correct direction, you should be able to install the handle and turn it toward you. Best regards, Tanya

I purchased 2 cartridge replacements from Lowe's (part# Danco 3S-10H/C) for my Delta faucet model # 2580. They worked fine for about a week, then started to bind up when turning the handles. Would the RP25513 cartridges work better?

Asked by: Dave
Thank you for your question, Dave! We always recommend using genuine Delta repair parts when possible. Model 2580 uses the RP24096 stem unit assemblies in conjunction with the RP4993 seats and springs. What is the difference between this part (RP25513) stem replacement, and part RP24096. There is a $6.00 difference in price. I am looking for a replacement part for the left handle side of Delta Faucet 3555-RBLHP

Asked by: Barbara
Thank you for your question, Barbara! The RP25513 stem assembly is the same as the RP24096 stem assembly with the added RP24097 1/4 turn stop. This part is not needed on all models however the Victorian model 3555-RBLHP will require this stop and the RP25513 stem assemblies would be needed. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/Model_3555.pdf Best regards, Edward

What steps are required to remove stem unit assembly?

Asked by: Randall
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP25513 first requires that you turn the water off to the faucet. Next take the handles off by loosening the set screw. Then remove the bonnet nut and the stem unit assembly should pull straight out. Putting everything back together is doing just the opposite of the above instructions.

What’s the difference between RP25513 & RP24096?  The application is for a Victorian 2-handle faucet installed in 2003.

Asked by: JMKM
Hi, JMKM! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP25513 and the Delta RP24096 stem unit assemblies are interchangeable. The only difference the two stems have is the RP25513 includes a 1/4 turn stop. the RP24096 does not include a 1/4 turn stop. The 1/4 turn stop to order with the RP24096 is RP24097. Leaky Valve

After removing the handle and bonnet nut, should the stem unit assembly pull out or is there something else holding it down? Does the seat and spring come out with the assembly? How do I know if it is the seat causing the leak or the stem assembly?
Asked by: DaveF
Hi Dave, Thank you for your question. Once you have removed the handle and bonnet nut nothing else is holding the stem. The seat and springs will be in a small recess directly under the stem. If the faucet is leaking out of the spout the seats and springs are the likely culprit but it is best to change the stem unit as well. Thanks, Dave

I purchased RP25513 for hot water faucet on whirlpool tub. The flat part of the stem is facing out from the spout but the cresent moon opening is on the spout side in the off position. Is this right?

Asked by: Dave
Thank you for your inquiry, Dave! The RP24096 are the correct stem assembly to install in our Delta roman/whirlpool/garden tubs. In order to have the handles point out away from the spout in the off position, then rotate 90 degrees towards you to the full on position, the two stem units have to be positioned a certain way. For the hot handle, the built-in plastic stop for the stem needs to be facing in toward the spout. For the cold handle, the built-in plastic stop needs to be facing away from the spout. Once the stems are set up this way and the bonnet nut has been tighten down around them, you'll want to use pliers to rotate the brass stems so that the flat part on each stem is facing away from the spout, towards the stop. Lastly, install the handles Best regards, Tanya
