Our old handle was leaking at the base and when we finally got around to replacing the washer inside, the set screw was impossible to remove and we stripped it out. Ended up having to drill out the old handle to get it off. Imagine my shock when I came into the kitchen and saw a set of shiny vise grips where my handle had been! ( They worked but just didn't look quite as nice! ) I immediately got on your website and ordered a replacement handle. It arrived within 2 days! Being able to replace just the handle and not the whole faucet saved us a lot of money. I love your site and your prices. Thanks

To remove the set screw if stuck, we would recommend soaking a rag in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to wrap it around the handle and let it sit for 15 minutes. How deep is the hole in the handle that the ball stem goes into? Alternately, how log is the stem on the ball that goes into the handle? I think my renter changed either the ball or the stem because the handle sits too high above the base. Thanks

What size Allen wrench do I need to loosen/remove the handle from my faucet.  Any tips for breaking down lime/hard water scale to help loosen the Allen screw? Thanks

As for build-up, we recommend getting a spray bottle and filling it with 50% warm water and 50% white vinegar solution and spraying the set screw, letting it sit overnight.
