CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PRODUCTO
Dual-function valve cartridge maintains a consistent water temperature from one shower to the next. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. The valve cartridge features an adjustable handle limit stop that, when properly set, helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort*. Easily replaced seals make maintenance a snap. Comes with all Delta pressure balance tub and shower faucets. *Requiere que la temperatura del agua de entrada se haya establecido correctamente. Puede requerir un ajuste según la estación.
  • Monitor® dual-function pressure balance cartridge
  • Use with Monitor® 1700/1800 Series tub & showers produced before March 2007
  • Permite tener controles diferentes para el volumen y la temperatura
  • Also works with 1500 Series produced after 1995

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta RP32104 I am using a licensed plumber and we are on my 4th RP32104 in 8 months. The first one we replaced to replace a gasket and that stopped the leak but after a month or so the handle spins around 360 and won't shut off the watter. I am not at all forceing or turning the handle with force because this cartridge cost $85 and I have purchased 4. I cannot change the housing without breaking tile and cuting the copper pipes but this is a bad design. Obviously Delta has changed the design because the old one lasted 17 years. This tiny square is the only thing that stops the handel from spinning around 360 and it keeps breaking. Can you help? This tiny

Rated 3 out of 5 by from single handle for RP32104 cartridge Just have plumber replaced RP32104 cartridge inside my Delta monitor series single handle, but the handle turn over 360, and couldn't stop at position of hot/cold water. Replaced second RP32104, still have same issue, handle could be turn over and over freely. I think I need to change this handle (should be around 15 years). Which single handle should I purchase to match this RP32104, would you send me a link?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent customer service I purchased my delta faucets over 20 years ago and when they required repair, I was worried I was not going to be able to find parts. I was able to identify the part number and order through customer service, so I am relieved I don't have to buy new fixtures...I will say that I had a similar issue with another brand, and theirs was warrantied for life, so that replacement has no charge...Wish delta had the same policy-but I am happy to be able to find the correct part.

Hi I'm replacing a cartridge for 17series delta is part # de32104 compatible or same as rp32104 and if so what is the factory set temp and how do i get it hotter if rotational stop is set at hotter?

Asked by: Victoria408
Thank you for your question, Victoria408! Although DE32104 is designed to work with a Delta Monitor 17 series valve, this is not a genuine Delta part number and the RP32104 is recommended. This cartridge will come set on a luke-warm, neutral setting but instructions for adjusting the rotational limit stop can be found on page 6, Step C of the Maintenance and Installation manual below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/33782_v1.pdf Best regards, Edward

I had a Delta Monitor single handle cartridge replaced in a guest bath and now the water isn't quite as hot as it was, and nothing else has changed. Could it be that the plumber didn't put the rotational limit stop in the proper place? What is the fix?

Asked by: Steve
Hi, Steve. Thank you for your question. The RP32104 does have a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted to get hotter water. Here is a link to a how to video on how to adjust the rotational limit stop: https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/video-page-1?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I If you should need more assistance with this, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. i'm replacing a 1500 series Delta Monitor. I'd like to buy a new 1700 Series. Is my plumbing the same (the cartridges look the same)?

Asked by: Greg
Hi Greg, Thank you for your question. If the screw holes in the round escutcheon of your current 1500 series faucet are diagonally across from one another at 1 and 7 o-clock you can upgrade to a new 17 series faucet. You will need to order the Monitor 17 series trim of your choice, a RP32104 cartridge, and a RP22734 bonnet nut to installl with your existing rough in valve. If the screw holes on the escutcheon are in a horizontal line at 5 and 7 o-clock no conversion kit is available. Thanks, Dave

I have a delta 1400 series will this valve work if I want to upgrade to a t series 17 series?

Asked by: Arindale
Thank you for your question, Arindale! The RP32104 cartridge on this product page is for a 1700 series Monitor shower. The RP19804 cartridge is correct for a 1400 series but will work with any T14 trim kit. The R10000-UNBX is the correct valve for a current T14 trim kit however this is not always needed as the T14 shower trim will work with an older 1400 valve body provided you continue to use the RP19804 cartridge. Changing out the valve body will involve un-soldering the current valve, which may also involve tearing into the surround wall or tile if there is no access panel. Best regards, Tanya

Is RP32104 correct cartridge is updating old 1700 series monitor

I currently have a older (approx 2001) 1700 series monitor shower trim and valve. I am looking to change the trim. Will the existing cartridge work with current 14 or 15 series trim or do I need to change cartridge to the RP32104 or some other cartridge.
Asked by: Brad B
Hi Brad, Thank you for your question! You can updated the trim on a 1700 series shower with any of our Monitor T17 series (not T17T) trim kits. However, you will need to use the original cartridge, or the RP32104, rather than the cartridge that comes with the kit. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=t17%20trim%20monitor&page=1&num=20&collection=DLT_all&tab=DLT_products Thanks, Jon

I installed a replacement cartridge RP32104 for original 2001 1700 series. Everything works fine except hot and cold is reversed. Could I have made a mistake, or does that mean hot and cold pipes are reversed? Is there a fix for this cartridge?

Asked by: RevJim
Thank you for your question, RevJim! This can be correct by turning off the water supply, removing the cartridge, sliding off the cap, and flipping it 180 degrees. It may be that the lines to the valve are reversed (typically hot is on the right). Either way, this will correct the issue you are experiencing. Please refer to Section 3A on page 5 of the Installation Instructions for more information. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/33782_v1.pdf Best regards, Jon

Double tabs prevent cartrige from seating in keyway of brass housing

There are tow tabs / keys on the shoulder of the cartrige. One cartrige tab is to seat into the recess / keyway of the brass housing. There is only one keyway on the housing of my model. Therefore the second key / tab butts up against the brass housing and prevents the other from seating when you thread on the retaining ring. You flip the cartrige if you the hot / cold inputs are reversed. Are you supposed to file off the extra tab / key when you decide if you are going to orient the hot port in the conventional or reverse position?
Asked by: justthinking
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP32104 is used on our pre-multi-choice valving system that we introduced in 2006. Based on your descriiption of your cartridge, you have a multi-choice valve which is model # RP46463. The easiest way to tell this is if you have a gray cap on your cartridge, you have the incorrect cartridge. You will need one with a white cap to fit your present valve.

Can I replace the "connected' o-rings only?

Asked by: Ginny
Hello Ginny, Thank you for your question. Typically, if your faucet is leaking from the spout or shower head, in the off position. This can be resolved by replacing the seats, springs, and quad seals which are available separately as part number RP28603. If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend replacing the RP32104 cartridge assembly. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. I want to replace my pre-2006 dual control Monitor 1700 with a T17293-RB-I.

Is it correct that need the RP32104 to make this possible? I do not want to tear out the wall.
Asked by: Clint
Dear Clint, Thank you for your inquiry! As long as the screw holes on your large round escutcheon plate are at the 1 and 7 o'clock positions and you do not have a push button shower diverter directly below the off and on handle, then any of the Delta tub and shower trim kits that start with a T17, except for the T17T series trim kits will interchange for you. The cartridges that come with the new trim kits will not fit your valve body, so you will need to reuse your existing cartridge (RP32104). Best regards, Tanya

Unfortunately, the model BT14296-OB will not work. how to remove the rp32104 cartridge

Asked by: jckligge
Thank you for your question, jckligge! To remove the RP32104 cartridge, you will first need to turn the water off to the valve, room or home. Next you will need to pry off the temperature knob cover, unscrew the Phillips head screw, then remove the handle and sleeve. The bonnet nut can be loosened counter-clockwise which will then allow the cartridge to be pulled straight out. Best regards, Edward

Replacement cartridge for older model 1700 from 2002

Replacing older model 1724PB-LHP installed in 2002 which was in new construction. Found my receipt from 2002. Don't know which type of rough in valve was used as I did not see it when installed. Didn't intend to replace the rough in valve or cut into walls...only wanted to replace the exterior escutcheon, temp/pressure handles and the shower head and arm. I was advised that T17278-RB trim kit would work but not to use the cartridge with gray cap that came with it. Cartridge package is marked 46878 REV A 10/11/05. I would have to use my old cartridge. As far as I can tell it appears to have a white cap. Which one do I use so that I don't have any rehab work behind the wall. Or, can I continue to use the old cartridge as long as it works. I viewed video which includes instructions for 13/14 series and 1700 series and believe I need cartridge RP32104 with the white cap and longer tab at bottom for 1700 series shipped prior to 2006. Thank you
