Although we do not always have the measurements for some of our older part numbers, the thread size would not have changed from an older Delex model to our current two handle models that use the RP34090 spout cap and this part should work in its place. Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet RP34090 can be removed by screwing it off. It may have mineral deposits built up so you may need a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water soaking around the nut overnight first. Then use a channel strap wrench to unscrew the nut.
