I have a Delta laundry/utility faucet in my garage with only a cold water supply available. Is the faucet supply a 1/2" ips thread ? If so, is the Delta RP34849 the correct cap, along with Teflon tape, to seal the hot supply of the faucet ?

Hi, Drew! Thank you for your question. We do not recommend to cap the hot water side with the Delta RP34879 1/2" Female Brass Cap as water will fluctuate and pulsate between hot and cold temperatures. We recommend to check with a professional on installing an adapter to make the unit cold water only. Best Regards, Rosanna
