Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless! Drive 15 miles to local Lowes. Buy the faucet. Drive home. Open instructions. Section 1, '*If you are installing the faucet on a stainless steel or a thin sink use RP37490 stabilization plate NOT SUPPLIED WITH FAUCET." REALLY!? What use is that!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Why wasn't item mentioned under "You may need:"?! I bought a DELTA Foundations Single Handle Kitchen Faucet with a Side Sprayer unit that sits IN the escutcheon (Model No. 10902LF). My kitchen sink is the original porcelain sink from the 1950's, and the Locknuts provided by DELTA are BARELY big enough to secure the fixture under the counter. The installation manual included with the product is INCOMPLETE (it has no instructions that match my Model No.re Side Sprayer installation), and, INADEQUATE (missing information about this Stabilization Plate). Page 1 of the manual has a footer that says, "You may need:" and then it lists additional items that are not listed on the box, like silicone, for example. What it does NOT include is any reference to this Stabilization Plate, which, as it turns out, is required for my old porcelain sink, as the Locknuts (included) are BARELY large enough to secure the fixture solidly in place. Consequently, they will fail much sooner than later. Yes, I can detach the supply lines and feed them through the stabilization plate, but, detaching the "quick connect" sprayer hose will be next to impossible from underneath the double basin, porcelain sink. Because DELTA missed an opportunity to ADVISE consumers that this Stabilization Plate might solve the problem of the supplied Locknuts being TOO SMALL, I have not seen the item to be able to review its performance. So, I have to answer, "No" regarding any recommendation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as designed. It does what it is designed to do by stiffening a stainless steel sink.

Does the Leland pull-down faucet model 9178-DST include the stabilization plate, or do I have to purchase one separately?

I'm considering purchasing the Leland faucet for a single hole installation in a stainless steel sink, and I want to make sure it won't rock back and forth excessively during use.
Asked by: Rick
Hi Rick, Thank you for your question. The RP37490 stabilization plate does not come with the model 9178-DST faucet. The part would have to be purchased separately. Thanks, Dave

I am installing 2256-dst kitchen faucets on a 20 gauge stainless sink with 1.5 inch holes 4inch on center I need to center them the rp62378will not allow me to tighten them will the rp37490 work for me

Asked by: richie
Thank you for your question, richie! The RP37490 stabilization plate is the correct part for model 2256-DST but is intended to help stabilize the installation when using a thin sink or deck. The RP62378 bushing is needed for proper installation of the handles and we recommend checking to be sure this is installed correctly before proceeding. Please contact us directly if you need further assistance. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-K-2256-DST%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Edward

I am installing a small K-6015 Kohler Acrylic sink. The faucet is still a little wobbly when tightened to the max. This plate would have to fit over come ridges, etc. on back of the sink. It can not fit flat because of the size. Do you think it would work

Asked by: Jerry
Hello Jerry, Thank you for your question. The Delta Stabilization Plate RP37490 is designed to work with some of our Delta kitchen faucets. We can not guarantee that this plate will work/install on/with any other company faucet installs. Best regards, Tanya

Will this Stablization Plate directly (as-is without cutomizing or cutting or re-drilling) fit the Delta COLLINS™ (MODEL#: 4140-DST)? If not, is there other Stablization Plate your sell that directly accomodates the above referenced Delta Collins model?

Asked by: TimL
Hi, TimL! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP37490 Stabilization Plate will work with the Delta 4140-DST Faucet. However, the stabilization plate may need to be cut or modified. We do not make a different stabilization plate specifically for the Collins faucet. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is the stabilization plate mounted under the sink? Or on top of the sink?

My plumber mounted it on top and it looks stupid.
Asked by: Nancy
Dear Nancy, Thank you for your inquiry! The stabilization plate RP37490 should be installed below the sink deck, of the Delta Bellini Kitchen 11946-SSSD-DST faucet. Best regards, Tanya

What are the diameters and center-to-center spacing of the holes?

I am planning to buy a Delta Pilar faucet and install it on a stainless steel sink. The sink has 1.50 inch holes that are four inches apart (center to center). Is this the spacing of the holes in this Stabilization Plate?
Asked by: Dan
Dear Dan, Thank you for your question. The Delta Stabilization Plate RP374901 has 1 3/8" (35 mm) on 4" (102 mm) centers. If you need to, the plate can be cut apart to match your holes. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/73038RevA.pdf Best regards, Tanya

i am going to order a addison 9192..i have a new 3 hole std. kohler sink will the stab. plate be ok that is supplied with 9192?

Asked by: doug
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9192T-DST does included a stablization plate that must be used for the faucet to operate properly. As long as you have a standard sink, the plate should fit. If you need to, the plate can be cut apart to match your holes.
