does it make a difference if the hot valve is connected onto the cold water supply and vis-versa?

Asked by: mam
Thank you for your question. Operationally the faucet will work if you switch the hot and cold supply lines. However, your handles will then work backwards. Typically, hot is on the left and cold is on the right. As long as the bathers know the difference, there is not a potential to scald anyone.

I purchased two of this items individually (not as a kit). Neither of them was marked for hot water as they do in the kit. Will I have to return one of them and purchase another marked for hot water or can these work interchangeably for hot or cold?

Asked by: Analiza4444
Than you for your inquiry, Analiza4444! The Delta Roman tub End Valve Assembly RP40510 can be used for hot or cold water handle installation. Best regards, Tanya

How do you set up the end valve assembly for hot (left side) use vs cold (right side) use?

Asked by: Neal
Thank you for your question! The valve should be installed with the long corrugated tube toward the spout and the supply tube on the outside. The stem should be oriented with the raised plastic piece to the right and the brass stem facing away from the spout. The brass stem can be turned by hand. To flip the stem unit around completely, ensure that the water supply is turned off, then unscrew the bonnet nut, pull out the stem and rotate it 180 degrees. Please refer to the installation guide for your rough-in valve for more information. Best regards, Jon

I ordered a R4707 PX and received a R4707 MF. Is there a way to adapt the expansion fittings to a type b pex crimp

Asked by: Charley
Hello Charley, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta Faucet R4707-MF would be installed with PEX cold expansion only. Unfortunately, we do not currently have an adapter for PEX crimping. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Best regards, Bryan
