Poor quality
Having the same issues as everyone is, the lift hand to the diverter is stripped and pulls right out. Poor design. And 70 dollars to fix is very upsetting.

Threads stripped.
Faucet was repaired in January of '23. It's may of '24 and after trying to deal with it for months, this faucet has stripped the threads off the lift knob again. I saw a recommendation to cut the spring so I might try that. 70 dollars to be able to turn on my shower in a year and a few months. Very defeating feeling. Especially for someone new to disability.

Bronze threads strip out too easily
I agree with Allen that there is a design flaw with this product. That bronze threaded sleeve that connects the valve to the finial is not robust enough. The threads on this piece have stripped out on mine as well. Other than that the product looks and functions great.

Easy to change but wish there was video tutorials
Took me a week to figure out how to change this piece, it actually just slides out and the new one slides back into place. Remove the faucet top, screw in the pull up lever pin into this part and just pull it straight out of the plumbing rough in. The new one just slides back into the rough in and just place the faucet on top again and screw in the pull up pin on top. I wish Delta would have a video for this part because its a poorly designed and built part that will need replacing every few years.

CHEAP! THREADS STRIP OUT IN A YEAR
My faucet 5 years old. this is the second time this part has been replaced. The threaded bushing is too light and the threads strip because the spring is too strong. Why can't you make the bushing out of stainless or something besides soft brass?

Internal Part Easy to change if needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Accidentally busted mine while changing the countertop. If broken will allow the faucet to leak. Easy enough to change and durable. Only reason it broke was because it was dropped while attached to faucet.

How does the wand hose attach to this?
Thank you for your question, Patrick! I apologize for any confusion and we would be happy to help. The RP40668 diverter assembly does not connect to a wand or hose but rather screws into the valve body of an R4707 roman tub rough-in valve. Please contact us if you need further assistance.

The rod that turns my tub sprayer on has pulled out all the way, it does not work at all. Do I need a new rod or a new diverter? It's 3 years old.

In a situation such as yours either the lift rod, diverter or both has stripped out. I would suggest replacing both items.

We have an 8 yr old Danze D215000BT Roman Tub faucet. The handheld sprayer no longer will flow?
I have removed the middle valve assembly and checked for plugging, but there is none. It appears that there is no water entering into the sprayer hose. Would this diverter valve be the cause?

Is the delta diverter value assembly - R4700 the same for all roman tubs?
I pulled my out and it looks like the R4700 but I am not sure of the model of my 10 year old delta facet.. I am hoping delta only mady 1 type that looks like this.. possibly length may be a difference?

How to remove this product?
I have a replacement valve and can't access the assembly. I have removed the actual faucet and see the old valve coming out of a brass tube, but it seems stuck. I look under the tub and see the assembly down there, but it is all wired together and doesn't look like it can move either direction. Is there a trick to removing THIS PIECE SPECIFICALLY?
Hi Jon, Thank you for your question. Once the roman tub spout and lift rod have been removed there is nothing mechanical holding the diverter valve assembly in place. The diverter will slide out of the valve. Mineral build up may cause the diverter to stick in place. Pour a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water around the diverter into the valve body and allow the solution time to break up the mineral deposits. This process should allow you to more easily pull the diverter from the valve assembly.

Thank you for your inquiry, Krys! Unfortunately, we do not have a do it yourself installation video for removing or installing the RP40668 diverter. To replace the diverter, you will want to first turn the water off at the supply valve. Remove the spout assembly by unscrewing the set screw that is located on the back of the tub spout counterclockwise. Once the set screw is removed, the tub spout assembly can be lifted off. Unscrew the diverter assembly and screw the new diverter assembly into place. If you should need more assistance, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358.
