Thank you for your question, Hank 18! The rp44648 o-ring is best changed by first turning the water off to the entire unit from the supplies below the counter. Next place the handle in the "On" position to drain any remaining water. Remove the wand, handle, cap and/or bonnet nut then the valve assembly cartridge. The hub of the faucet will then need to be pulled up off the counter, taking care not to let the hose slip down below the counter. Simply pry the old o-ring off the valve, clean the valve of any remaining debris then slide the new o-ring over the valve and into the groove.
