CARACTERÍSTICAS DEL PRODUCTO
Single-function valve cartridge controls the temperature at full output flow. Monitors water pressure to balance temperature. All Delta® tub and shower faucets are engineered to keep the water temperature within a safe ±3.6° F (±1.7° C)*. The valve cartridge features an adjustable handle limit stop that, when properly set, helps ensure the handle cannot be turned to a position that is too hot for comfort*. The handle limit stop's integrated design allows easy adjustment via pull and turn. Easily replaced seals make maintenance a snap. This cartridge is included with tub and shower trim packages. *Requiere que la temperatura del agua de entrada se haya establecido correctamente. Puede requerir un ajuste según la estación.
  • Monitor® single-function pressure balance cartridge
  • Use with MultiChoice® 13/14 Series tub & showers produced after March 2006
  • Allows for temperature control
  • Integrated rotational limit stop

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality I need to replace this cartridge again. 3rd one in a year. Seems to last about 6 months before failing. Need to improve the quality of your product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty design I installed a new multi choice base in my shower to upgrade my old delta faucet. Boy was that a mistake! the cartridge lasted about a year before it started dripping. I have since bought several cup seals and installed those, they last for about a month before dripping again. Finally the actual cartridge developed a crack in the plastic. I bought a new delta cartridge and it lasted a month before it started leaking. I have spent so much time replacing seals and cartridges that I gave up and installed a shutoff valve in the shower head until I figured out what brand I want to replace this with. So now I get to tear open my wall again and replace the whole assembly!! I wish delta would upgrade these cheaply made cartridges so they’d actually last more than a few months

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shower head leak I've had to replace shower handle and kitchen head on sink thus year 2024. I'm so glad I bought Delta sink and shower for new home. It's been 14yrs and I just started getting drips or leaks. Every time I call delta I get the most polite service from their help line. They are always respectful and knowledgeable also very easy to talk to. Every time I've received my part it arrived within 2 or 3 days after first call... Thank you Delta for keeping with live people on other end of the phone. Thank you for thinking of your customer's.

I have the classic Monitor 13 series shower assembly and my shower was installed in 1999 which cartridge do I use? RP46074 or RP19804? Thank you.

Asked by: TerryKuntz
Hi Terry Kuntz, Thank you for your question! You will need the RP19804 valve cartridge. The RP46074 valve cartridge is for 13/14 series tub/showers that were manufactured after March of " 2006". Best regards, Brandis

mine is 20 + years old. has the temp adjuster changed

I have a brass ring with teeth around the interior. A second piece that is nylon (?) that interfaces with the brass ring for adjusting temp. Is the #RP46074 replacing mine ?
Asked by: Roger
Hi Roger, Thank you for your question. 1400 series units manufactured prior to 2006 will use the RP19804 cartrdidge. You will find the redesigned rotational limit stop on this cartridge as well. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp19804.html Best regards, Jon

what valves do i buy to make two separate shower handles with each handle having volumn control. i have a shower head but no tub, and i do not like

the single valve in the center of the wall. do i use a solid brass wall mount, or do you have valves that can control each handle's water volume? Would a transfer valve work? I sent an email earlier but I think I wrote my email address wrong....
Asked by: Ariana
Hi Ariana, Thank you for your question. The only volume control rough in valve and trims that we offer are available through our Brizo product line in the Sensori high flow shower system. http://www.brizo.com/search/results.html?collection=BRZ_all&num=20&q=sensori Thanks, Dave

How can I make the water hotter with this cartridge, since it's not as hot as the old cartridge?

Asked by: Stephen
Thank you for your question, Stephen! Our cartridges include a Rotational Limit Stop that limits the amount of hot water allowed to mix into the valve and needs to be set at the time of installation. Information on adjusting this setting can be found on Step 3, Page 7 of the Maintenance and Installation manual below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00068881_M.pdf Best regards, Edward

I need the best temperature regulating cartridge for a shower

I installed the Delta MultiChoice Universal Rough In valve R10000-UNBX during the rough-in of our bathroom and need to purchase a cartridge that will keep temperature as steady as possible. It is a single family dwelling without big pressure swings. Which cartridge should I use to balance cost vs function?
Asked by: DMS
Hi, DMS! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge comes with the new trim kit that you pick. This cartridge, RP46074, comes with our T14 series trim. This valve cartridge is pressure balanced. Best Regards, Rosanna

Can this cartridge be used with the T17097ss shower faucet?

Asked by: John G
Thank you for your question, John G! RP46074 is a 13/14 series MultiChoice cartridge. A current 17 series trim requires RP46463 instead. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP46463 Best regards, Edward

Earlier today I ran across a page on your site that shows the different cartridges, but cannot find it no matter what! (Your website is to hard to navigate!) Can you please tell me exactly what the difference is between cartridge series 13 and 14

Asked by: Randy
Thank you for your question, Randy! The 13 and 14 series have the same functionality, and take the same valve cartridges. The 13 series valve trims have a traditional design, and are all part of the Classic collection. The 14 series valve trims have a more contemporary design, and correspond to several Delta bathroom collection styles. The RP46074 cartridge is used with Delta 13 and 14 series valve trims, that have a valve body that was installed after 2006. Best Regards, Benjamin

What is the maximun flow rate for the shower using a RP46074 cartridge at 60psi city water pressure.

Asked by: jmcmil45
Hi, jmcmil45! Thank you for your question. The flow rate for the shower head will be determined by the shower head itself, not the valve body. We have shower heads that range from 1.5-2.5 gpm flow rate. Here is a link to our shower head and hand showers available: https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/showerheads--handshowers Best Regards, Rosanna
