better than expected
We purchased this product because the instructions in the delta faucet recommended it in a shower surround with no "wall" to help support it. It worked better than we expected, it keeps the shower wall held firmly to the framing and the faucet hardware steady. Without it I think the faucet trim would not be firmly in place and may cause damage over time.

Is the thin wall mounting kit suggested for shower stall Fiberglass walls?

Thank you for your inquiry! The RP47202 thin wall installation aid should be used with fiberglass walls, it would help to support the rough in as it mounts to both sides of the wall.

What size screws (length and thread) come with the kit?

Our Delta Faucet DELTA® MultiChoice® Universal Thin Wall Installation Aid MODEL#: RP47202 comes with two screws with a #8-16 thread pattern at 1.25" long and two screws with a #8-16 thread pattern at 2.5" long.

Can this kit be installed after the shower is in place (no access to back side of stall wall)?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP47202.
This installation aid uses one plate behind the wall and one plate in front. So access behind the wall is needed.

Hello, I am remodeling a bathroom in a manufactured home. The wall where the shower is located is 2 1/2" thick. I know mounting a shower valve to a stringer would not work because the wall isn't thick enough. But would something like this work for me?
I am installing a classic 132900-A on a fiberglass shower wall. If i use a hole saw to cut a round hole in the showerwall what size should I make the hole? Thanks

Unfortunately I cannot provide you with the hole size to cut, however I would recommend that it not be larger then the escutcheon plate.
