I need to replace my old escutcheon plate which was a 13/14 Multi Choice series. Will this one fit? Also, what handle will go with this? I do not prefer the clear round type of handle.

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP48716 Escutcheon Plate will fit our Delta Monitor 13/14 Series Trim Kit. The handle assembly that will work with this is the RP48717. Here is a link to the part:

What exactly comes with this part?
Does it come with the rubber seal and the screws? I have the face plate and only really need the seal and screws.

Thank you for your question. This will include a foam seal on the back of the plate. However, you can use a thin bead of silicone in place of the seal as this will help keep water from getting behind the plate. The escutcheon screws are sold separately, RP196.

How do I install this? Any sealant required?
Thank you for your question, Ted46! Our escutcheon plates have a foam gasket on the back so sealant is not required however a thin bead of silicone can be used as well to help prevent water from getting behind the plate. The screws which are included will hold the escutcheon to the valve and wall.

Is this escutcheon made of chrome (solid metal piece) or made of a plastic/ poly in a chrome color finish? Is it solid and sturdy or a bit flimsy?

The escutcheon plate should not need caulking…correct?

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet escutcheon RP48716SS.
Sealant or caulk is not typically needed. A silicone sealant can be used if the wall surface is uneven.

What is the outside diameter of the cover plate.
