Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stick With Delta OEM Repair Parts Aftermarket, generic repair seals and springs may be a little cheaper or you get a dozen for the price of two Delta seals/springs but the quality is just not there. A plumbing shop sold me the generics and told me they would work but they did not. The rubber seals were much harder and and the springs much stiffer than OEM parts. Result was decreased water flow from both faucets. Went to a different place for the Delta brand and faucets now work like new. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true in this case.

Do these work for the RP17453 Delta Tub Spouts?

Asked by: Ryan
Thank you for your question, Ryan! The RP4993 seats and springs are not used on a tub spout but found in some kitchen, lavatory and shower faucets. The RP12307 tub spout adapter uses the RP1745 o-ring. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP1745 Best regards, Edward

How do I replace seats and springs for model 2689thd ?

Asked by: Joe
Hi Joe, Thank you for your question. Before you begin, please make sure that the water supply is shut off to the home. You can then remove the handle by popping off the cover and removing the screw. Next, unscrew the sleeve and pull out the extender and stem unit. You can then use a pencil or Allen wrench to scoop out the seats and springs. Reassemble in the reverse order, making sure the spring goes into the valve with the wider end first and the seat on the smaller end. Best regards, Jon

Does the small end of the spring go into the rubber gasket ? Then, does the spring go on the underside of the gasket into the supply tube ?

Asked by: Ziggy
Hi, Ziggy! Thank you for your question. The spring sets into the valve, bigger side down. The seat sits over the smaller end of the spring. Best Regards, Rosanna

Thank you for your question, TR. If your model has seats and springs, these will work. However, they are not used with DST models or model 35955LF. Best regards, Jon

Hi - leaky tub faucet. It’s a Delta Monitor installed one 2005. I see options for seats/springs (RP4993) and a complete cartridge (RP19804). How do I know if the seats and springs are all I need? When would I need a replacement cartridge? Thank you!

It is difficult to insert the seat and spring in the hole in roman tub faucet installation. Do you have tools to insert these without damaging seat

Seat Hole is small and the bottom of the valve. So you cannot even get two fingers in to squeeze the seat and insert it in the hole. Very frustrating and you may even damage the seat sealing surface in the process. I have an idea for a tool but not sure if already have one.
Asked by: A
Hi A, Thank you for you question. We do not offer a tool for installing the seats and springs. If you place the seats and springs on the end of allen wrench often used to remove the handles you can use that as a guide to place the seats and springs in the hole and then use your finger to seat them properly. Thanks, Dave
