Can I reverse cartridge

15714LF sink faucet / Cartridge RP50265 Can I reverse the cartridge so my cold water line is attached to hot and hot to cold? As is, the water line hoses are crossed and making it too tight for my lift rod to work.

How is the delta valve cartridge replaced on the 554LF-RB?

Hi Dad, Thank you for your question. To replace the cartridge on the model 554LF-RB you will first have to unscrew the finial out of the end of the handle assembly. This will reveal the screw that holds the handle onto the faucet. Loosen the screw and remove the handle. Remove the bonnet nut holding the cartridge in place and you should be able to pull the cartridge out and make your repairs. I have a MASCO M30 Single Handle Cartridge used on a Delta Tub/Shower Faucet. The cartridge leaks and need to be replaced. Would this part work as a replacement?

I had faucet professionally installed but found that hot was coming through regardless of single handle position. Can only get cold if I turn hot supply off. Can I assume this would mean the cartridge was allowing the flow though and needs replacement?
