RESEÑAS
Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife loves it. life is good. I bought and installed the new faucet a month ago to replace a worn out faucet. I then bought a new sink and moved the faucet to the replacement sink. I needed a different escutcheon. This one worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I bought this because I bought a new sink for my kitchen that had 1 hole, but my old sink had 3. The plumber suggested that I just buy the replacement part instead of getting a whole new faucet. It was an easy fix.

is the Escutcheon gasket a simple black foam piece that was inside the eschutcheon?

I can't tell if the gasket is missing or if this is the gasket I'm supposed to use. Looks like a shipping protection piece but could be the gasket I suppose.
Asked by: RW
Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. The black piece of foam is the gasket for the RP51490 single hole escutcheon. Thanks, Dave

I have new countertops. I am changing the escutheon from the two hole plate to a single hole mount

The plumber indicates he cannot attach without the escutheon RP51490. Is this true?
Asked by: RC
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet part # RP51490 is an escutcheon plate for mounting a faucet in a one hole installation. This plate is necessary when using the one hole application.

Replacing kitchen faucet on a 4-hole sink.

I would like to use a model 978 Leland pull down faucet that I've had in storage for a while to replace an old kitchen faucet. The sink has four holes, so if the soap dispenser is installed there will be an unused hole open on the sink. Is there an escutcheon plate to cover the hole that will result in a professional looking installation?
Asked by: Roger
Hi Roger, Thank you for your question. We do not offer a matching hole cover to the model 978 faucet. You can add a soap/lotion dispenser like the RP50813 to coordinate with the faucet and fill the extra hole. Your local hardware or home center will offer sink hole covers in finishes to match the faucets or sinks. Thanks, Dave

Can this part be used to mount a 16953-SS-DST sink in a single hole counter top that does not support the original 3-hole wide escucheon?

Asked by: Mike
Hello, Mike! This is the correct escutcheon ring for the model 16953-DST for a single-hole installation. This part should be included with the faucet, if you still have the box. Best regards, Jon

Is there an additional step to help prevent leakage?

I have this kit that came with my faucet that is being installed onto a single-hole granite counter. The foam gasket does not do a very good job of preventing leakage when rinsing the faucet. A small amount of water drips past the foam ring and gets down under the counter. Should this be supported with a bead of plumbers putty or caulk?
Asked by: Nick
Hello Nick, Thanks for your question! You can certainly use a sealant to help seal the escutcheon. to the counter. We recommend a thin bead of silicone sealant for the escutcheon. I hope this helps!

What part do I need to modify our Lewiston faucet to be mounted without escusion?

Asked by: Corky
Thank you for your question. To mount your Lewiston kitchen faucet as a single hole mount, you will need Delta Faucet model # RP51490. It should have been included in your box. If it has been lost, you can order and purchase it from your local Lowes hardware store.

Why don't you support the products you sell at the big box stores, specifically this escutcheon and gasket in stainless steal Rp51490, that seems to be compatable with many of your faucets.  My faucet is 16953-ss-dst. If a new one never delta again.
