Hi, Curby! Thank you for your question. The Delta diverter cartridge assembly does require the use of the trim sleeve, RP51916. A Delta diverter trim kit is required for the R11000 Diverter Rough In. Delta diverter trim kits do include both the cartridge assembly and trim sleeve. Best Regards, Rosanna
