Hi Bob, thank you for your question. The check valves should not limit the flow from the faucet. The aerator at the end of the spout is designed to limit the flow rate. The check valves must be installed with any Touch2O faucet. Best regards, Jon

Hi, Almi! Thank you for your question. These are check valves that screw onto your valve ends to prevent cross flow of your hot and cold water connections. The instructions on how to install these check valves is on page 19 of the manual for your Essa faucet. Thank you for your question, Bob1! RP53468 are check valves that go on the hot and cold water supplies, to prevent back and cross flow. The part number for the ferrules is RP50952. Both parts can be purchased, separately. Best Regards, Benjamin

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 538T-SS-DST includes check valves that are required to prevent bleed over from the lines. They do have an operational function.
