Rated 3 out of 5 by from True Delta Part?? I found this same generic part at the local hardware store for less after shipping, but didn't get it because I was looking for a true Delta part that said "Delta" on it (so it would match the other sink). I kept it, put it in a bathroom with a single sink, and moved the matching Delta one to the 2-sink bathroom. It looks fine, just was looking for a real match.

I have a stopper that has a stopper cap (the part plugging up the drain) that is only 1.25" in diameter. The four flanges that go down into the drain must be smaller than usual, because I've picked up a couple of universal-sized kits and they're toogbih

Is the washer/gasket on the Delta Drain Stopper replaceable or must one purchase the entire stopper?

Asked by: Gene
Thank you for your question, Gene! At this time there is not a separate part number for the washer/gasket on Delta Faucet model #RP5648. The entire stopper will need to be ordered. Please feel free to contact our Homeowner/Warranty experts at 800-551-1508.

My drain stopper #RP5648 in polished brass has a single white plastic open loop at the base. It measures 4" in length., Your RP5648BP looks like grey plastic and it has a different configuration @ the base. Will it fit my drain?

Asked by: Lorrie
Thank you for your question, Lorrie! Yes, this can replace models with a single loop. Simply install the horizontal rod through the top hole. You may need to adjust the location of the rod on the strap as well. Best regards, Jon

Stopper installation - loop and orientation

My current stoppers will only raise 1/8", even after disconnecting the linkage and pushing the rod fully down. This is inadequate to drain the sink (a small air bubble is enough to prevent drainage). I am wondering if the builder installed the stopper correctly. Which of the holes in the double loop should the rod go through? Should the stopper be oriented with the loop toward the front or back of the sink? Thank you.
Asked by: Karl
Hi Karl, Thank you for your question. To maximize the motion of the stopper you will want to place the horizontal rod through the lower loop. The loop can be either forward or back. Thanks, Dave

Can a 2 hole stopper replace a 1 hole stopper?

My faucet has a one hole stopper that looks like the RP5648BN. However, my faucet is chrome. And the chrome finish stopper RP5648 has 2 holes and does not look like my stopper. Should I get a slightly different looking stopper or a slightly different looking finish? Will the 2 hole stopper even work if my sink currently uses a 1 hole stopper? If not, will a stopper in a brilliance brushed nickel finish go with my chrome faucet?
Asked by: DB
Hi DB, Thank you for your question. The RP5648 when ordered as a replacement part will always have the 2 holes. This stopper is used in multiple drain types, some of which use the 1 hole and some that use the 2 holes. If you currently have a 1 hole you will need to cut off the 2nd hole to work with your drain assembly. The stopper has an indicator of where to cut. Thanks, Dave

Asked by: Olga
Thank you for your question, Olga! This is the only stopper that is available separately for our lift-rod operated pop-up assemblies. It will have two loops, with one at 4" and on at 5". Best regards, Jon

How do I remove the stopper (part #RP 5648) to clean the gunk out? It doesn't seem to want to come out easily and I don't want to break it. Is there a trick to it?

Asked by: Steve 5818
Thank you for your question, Steve 5818! Depending on how this was originally installed, you may first need to remove the horizontal rod to take out the stopper. First, loosen the nut on the back of the drain, pull out the horizontal rod then you will be able to easily lift out the stopper. Best regards, Edward

How do I install the drain stopper #rp5648

Asked by: Larry
Thank you for your question, Larry! You will need to star by sliding the stopper into the flange. Next, you would need to go underneath the sink, and connect the horizontal rod to the opening at the bottom of the stopper. Hand tighten pivot nut to the horizontal rod, attach horizontal rod to strap using clip. After that is done, connect the top of the strap to the lift rod. I have included a link to a parts diagram, for you to refer to. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us directly. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/RP26533_Pop_Up_Drain.pdf Best Regards, Benjamin

Is this the only Delta popup Drain Stopper available?

I have a classic one lever ("crystal" knob lever-my model shows that it is discontinued) bathroom faucet that needs a new popup drain stopper. I found a replacement but the picture only shows one opening at the bottom for the "adjustment rod" to be attached through. My "good" stopper has 2 openings at the bottom for the "adjustment rod" to go through. Will this one opening popup stopper work in my drain?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP5648 does have a double loop at the bottom. The picture is incorrect. Thank you for bringing it to our attention so that we can get it fixed.

does this work with adiwon single fct 792-ss-dst

Asked by: marianne
Hi, Marianne! Thank you for your question. The Delta RP5648BN Stopper Assembly will not fit with the Delta 792-SS-DST Faucet as the stopper will need a lift rod to operate, which the faucet does not. We recommend a push pop up drain assembly such as the 72173-SS. Here is a link to this option: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=72173-SS Best Regards, Rosanna
