I need the red/blue plastic plug that covers the handle setscrew - where can I get one?
Hi Dan, Thank you for your question. The red/blue button for the RP60095 handle assembly is available to order as the RP28906.

Is this the kit for a 978 -sd? Does the set screw come with it?

The Delta Faucet model 978-SD actually uses the RP46748 handle and set screw. The RP60095 handle with set screw is for a different non-pull-down kitchen faucet.
