Is this ring made of brass? Chrome plated? My ring is bronze colored as well as the echelon with smoke colored crystal handle Are these parts available? Installed in 1981 in our home

Asked by: Jerry
Hi Jerry, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP6079. This bonnet nut for a 1600 series shower is brass with a chrome finish. Unfortunately, we no longer carry this in other finishes. Replacement trim pieces for a 1600 series shower are no longer available. I apologize for any inconvenience this causes. Please reach out with any additional questions! How do you remove the RP6079 bonnet it has hard water deposits in threads. use a die cutter and cut it off. or penetrating oil. i tried vinegar soaking the threads. ?

Asked by: sams
Hi sams, Thanks for your question regarding RP6079! We recommend a 50/50 solution of white distilled vinegar and water or penetrating oil; however, if this does not help cutting the bonnet is the next option. We also recommend contacting a professional if you do not feel comfortable cutting the bonnet nut. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or for further assistance.
