Hello. I would like to lubricate the internal parts (valve assembly). Is there a specialized tool necessary to remove the bonnet cap on Delta faucets? All of my wrenches would scratch the polished surfaces.

Asked by: Rodney
Hello Rodney! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help! We do not recommend lubricating the parts of your faucet as the parts come pre-lubricated. If you believe there are parts that need to be replaced, please contact us directly and we would be happy to figure out what parts you need. To protect the finish of your faucet when removing parts, we recommend using a strap wrench or using a microfiber cloth underneath the wrench. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Best Regards, Carrie

Is the spray head plastic or metal?

Asked by: Chuck
Hello Chuck, thank you for your question. The faucet body, spout, and handle are metal. Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used. In general, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate). If you have any further questions please contact us directly. Best Regards, Kayla

I ordered a bonnet cap for my Valdosta pull down kitchen faucet 199572 SPSD DST. The cap I received is model # RP6407SP. It has threads to screw it on.The bonnet cap that came with the faucet just snaps on with no threads. Can I get a cap with no threads?

Asked by: Phyllis
Hi Phyllis, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet RP64071SP. RP64071SP is the replacement cap for the faucet model 19957Z-SPSD-DST. Unfortunately, we don't carry a different cap for this faucet model. It should be able to be installed with the RP54975 o-ring. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist
