can i use a 9 volt till i get replacement part for battery holder?

Asked by: scooby
Thank you for your question. You can use a 9 volt battery as a temporary replacement but we do not recommend it as a long term replacement as it will run out quickly.

CAN A 9 VOLT BATTERY BE USED IN PLACE OF 6AA BATERIES?

Asked by: POP
Hi Pop, Thank you for your question. You can use a 9 volt battery in a pinch but we recommend using the 6 AA batteries. The AA's will give you a longer lasting battery life. Thanks, Dave

Is it possible to use the faucet manually until I get the replacement battery holder?

How do you disable the one touch so you can turn the water on manually?
Asked by: Laura
Hi Laura, The faucet can be put in manual mode. To do this, connect the pullout hose directly to the valve outlet nipple. Following are the steps to do so: Remove the hose clip and hose; Remove the metal solenoid clip and the solenoid; Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the spout outlet nipple; The faucet now should be able to be used as a manual pullout faucet.

Why can this not be replaced with an ep73954 ac power adapter? While the connectors don't match up, it could be directly connected. the voltage and amps would match and it would be DC current.

Asked by: Ryan123
Thank you for your inquiry, Ryan123! The RP64124 Battery box is designed for the older Gen2 solenoid assembly for the Delta Pilar Pull-Down Touch Kitchen 980T-DST model faucet. The EP73954 Power Supply cord, plugs into a hole on the side of the newer Gen3 solenoid assembly, directly below the connection for the LED wire. However, it only works for solenoid assemblies manufactured after January 2015 or later, which have a gray housing. There is no way to connect the power supply cord to the RP64124 battery box.
