Do you have instructions for how to replace this part?

Asked by: 9159-AR-DST Owner
Hi 9159-AR-DST Owner, Thank you for your question. To replace the RP71655AR spout, first turn off the water supplies to the faucet. Unscrew the wand from the hose assembly. On the back of the spout there is a small black button. Push in on the button and pull the spout off of the spout retainer. Thread the hose out through the spout to finish the spout removal. Thread the hose back through the new spout, use a pen or screw driver to guide the hose past the magnets at the end of the spout. Slide the new spout over the spout retainer, make sure to line up the button and hole. Screw the wand back on the hose, turn on your water supplies and the repair is complete. I have attached a link to the manual for the model 9159-AR-DST faucet below. The manual includes the parts breakdown which should help with your repair. I cannot find any black button on my spout?

Asked by: Jon
Hi Jon, Thank you for your question. Currently manufactured faucets will not have a hole for the retainer button. If you need to remove the spout and do not see a button on the back, simply lift up on the spout to remove it. It may require some force. Best regards, Jon

The magnet has come out of the assembly. It is attached to the sprayer (by the magnet). How do I re-insert/ ensure the magnet ring (with the little arm) stays fixed in the assembly?

Does this faucet have the touch technology? We have MODEL#: 9159T-CZ-DST, the magnet has rusted out and needs to be replaced. The manual says this is the correct piece but it does not say it has the touch technology.

Asked by: Ward617
Hi Ward617, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Yes, our 9159T-CZ-DST has Touch Technology. The magnet, RP80977, does not have touch technology as it is used in multiple types of faucets and it is not required. RP71655CZ is the spout assembly, which includes the magnet. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Best Regards, Kyra Digital Engagement Specialist
