How do you replace the spout. I received a new one and need to replace the old one

Asked by: Russ
Hello Valued Customer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To replace the RP72679 spout, it may require two people. For the spout replacement: Please gather towels for excess water. 1. The spout will include the wand retainer already installed. 2. The spout will also have a friction spacer installed, so once you remove the old spout you will see a black plastic piece on the faucet itself that will need to be removed. 3. The spout will require removing the entire wand and hose from under the cabinet and re-installing it through the faucet. Installation: 1. Under your cabinet, you will see the hose connection. Please remove the blue clip holding the hose to the faucet. This is the part where you may need the towels for excess water. 2. Lift the spout off of the faucet, be careful of the hose that you will be pulling through. Twist the hose if it gets stuck and please do not pull hard. 3. Remove the wand and hose from the old spout. 4. Remove the black friction spacer from the faucet, unless you are only seeing a brass connection. 5. If you only see a brass connection, that means the friction spacer is still in your old spout. This makes it easier to install the new spout. 6. Install the old wand into the new spout, and push the hose through the faucet. You may have to twist the hose to get it to go back into the cabinet. 7. Attach the hose to the connection, and put the clip on. Installation: Remove the old spout retainer first. 1. Pull the wand out a little and look for the hose connection to the wand. Unthread the hose from the wand counterclockwise and hold on to the hose. 2. Push the hose through the wand retainer with the large side facing the back of the spout, push the retainer in the spout until you hear a click and you can re-install the wand. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Best Regards, Kyra Digital Communications Specialist
