Dear John, Thank you for your question. The Delta Cassidy Spout RP72748 is designed to screw onto the base of a two handled model. The RP7908 is an older Waterfall Collection spout, for a single handled faucet. These spouts are not interchangeable. Best regards, Tanya

This Delta Faucet RP72748 spout for the Cassidy two-handle kitchen faucet model 2497LF can be removed by turning the bottom of the spout counterclockwise until it begins to unthread. You will then be able to lift the main spout up and off from the valve. You now have access to the retainer and o-rings.
