RESEÑAS
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not very durable The valve surfaces may be ceramic, but the rest of the internals are brittle plastic. So when the stop on the valve gets broken like this, the entire cartridge has to be chucked in the bin. This unit is not that old, and now is junk.

Advise valve body part number for RP74236 ceramic cartridge

Asked by: Nick
Hello Nick, Thank you for your question. The Delta RP73598 Valve Cartridge Assembly is a ceramic valve that can be ordered for any of our Floor Mount Tub Filler Trim to increase the flow rate. This is a non-pressure balance cartridge that replaces the RP46074 in our Floor Mount Tub Filler Trims only, and is not intended for use in our Delta Universal MultiChoice R10000 Rough In Valve Body. Delta showerer dripping / leaks

I have several delta monitors in my home. It was built in 2005. Which Cartridge will fit my valve body?
Asked by: Larry
Hi Larry, Thank you for your question. The cartridge used in a 1300/1400 series faucet in 2005 would be the RP19804. The cartridge has a white or gray top and a blue bottom. Thanks, Dave

Is the Ceramic Cartridge compatible with all the 13/14 trims

I have Talbott 14290 for example, when the time comes to replace the cartridge can I used the ceramic one instead? Also is there an equivalent ceramic cartridge for the 17 series trims?
Asked by: Dmitry
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP74236 is only for the 1300/1400 series. It can be switched out in any 1300/1400 series faucet. We do not manufacture a ceramic cartridge for the 1700 series.

Do you have to use the ceramic cartridge is this the only option for this cartridge?

If valve leaking do we replace valve and cartridge. Also what other parts do we need to order if valve leaking? Can we do this without cutting through backside of wall to fix if valve leaking?
Asked by: Lori
Hi Lori, Thank you for your question. Replacing the cartridge should stop the leak in a 13/14 series faucet. The non ceramic equivalent to the RP74236 cartridge is the RP46074. The cartridge can be replaced through the front of the faucet. There is no need to cut into the wall to access the valve body. On the 13/14 series valve can the hot and cold be reversed without changing the piping?

Bought a house with new shower with Delta MultiChoice 13/14 series and the hot and cold are reversed. Is there a way to reverse this in the valve without changing the piping?
Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. To reverse the hot and cold, remove the cartridge, flip it over and reinstall. The hot and cold supplies will then be reversed. Best Regards, Courtney

can you replace a monitor shower cartridge with cartridge that allows you yo adjust water flow. The cartridge installed does not allow you to adjust flow

Asked by: Mike
Hi, Mike! Thank you for your question. We recommend to replace the whole trim kit from a Monitor 13/14 Series to a Monitor 17 Series Trim Kit or a TempAssure 17T Series Trim Kit for volume control. Changing out the valve cartridge assembly alone, will not allow you to be able to adjust the volume. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have a leaking shower valve

My delta shower valve is leaking, but I can't not replace the cartridge. My shower valve is 1400 series installed before 2000, however, the part I found in stores were all for 1300/1400 series after 2005, which is longer and does not fit in the switch body. Can someone help me to locate the part?
Asked by: Northern
Hi Northern, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your faucet. Your 1400 series shower should take the RP19804 cartridge. You can order this cartridge from your local retailer or wholesaler that sells Delta products. The cartridge is also available online at deltafaucet.com. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp19804.html Thanks, Dave

Shower lever stops

I had a new shower installed about 5 years ago and the box I was left with says it is in the Monitor 1400 series so I believe it would take this cartridge (RP74236). My problem is that the handle has (suddenly) stopped turning all the way over to the "cold end" and now has a hard stop at about 1/3 of the way (a bit hot). Do I need to replace the whole cartridge or is this likely to be something else? If so, what part number?
Asked by: Jane
Dear Jane, Thank you for your question. It sounds like the Rotational Limit Stop needs to be adjusted on your cartridge. I have included the link to our how-to video on adjusting this. https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/video-page?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I Best regards, Tanya
