Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Needed I had a faucet that would not shut water off to the spout. I went to Home Depot to get a replacement part and installed it and the faucet still ran. I sent away for the"official" part from Delta and the problem was fixed. I can't tell any difference between the HD part and the Delta part. The Delta part is more expensive but then it worked. I'll be more skeptical of repair parts HD. The Delta package contained two sets so that makes the individual unit price not so bad.

How do you remove the bonnet nut on the model 35757LF to handle faucet for the RP 74418 stem unit assembly when I turn it the whole unit turns

Asked by: Mack
Hi Mack, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. We recommend wrapping a rag soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water around the bonnet nut to break down the mineral build-up which is making removal difficult. Asked by: Rina
Hello Valued Customer, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We apologize for the issues you are experiencing! Please refer to the instructions below on how to replace your stem units. Please note your handles may be specific to hot and cold. You can do one side at a time if it is easier for you. You will need a wrench, towel, and a bucket. 1. Please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. 2. Turn the handles to the open position to release residual water from the valves. 3. While holding on to the lever, unthread the handle base by twisting counterclockwise. 4. Once you remove the handle, please note how the stem units are oriented. A photo may help. 5. Using the wrench, remove the silver bonnet nuts. 6. Pull the stem unit out, and you will see another part inside the valve. These are the seat and springs. We recommended flushing the unit before installing new parts. I will provide directions below. 1. Please place a towel around the backside of the faucet. 2. Place the bucket over the top of the towel, and have someone hold the bucket. 3. Turn on water supplies and flush the water for about 30 seconds to a minute. 4. Shut off water supplies and install the new parts. We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! Please reach out with further questions! Earlier response said kit includes parts for one side only but also it contains two of each: Stem Unit Assembly, Seat & Spring, Bonnet Nut & Washer. Is this kit for the hot or cold water handle? What is the part number for the opposing handle?

AFTER INSTALLING KIT RP74418 IT STILL DRIBBLES I AM A COMPETENT PLUMBER AND CAN SEE NO REASON FOR THIS TO HAPPEN AM I MISSING SOMETHING? ANY HWELP IN THIS MATTER WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Asked by: CHARLIE
Hi CHARLIE, Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! Water dribbling after a faucet is turned off can be normal as water will briefly continue moving through the spout. If the drip continues, it may be caused by water debris trapped in the valve. Wipe the inside of the valve body with a soft cloth, including where the seats and springs sit. Additionally, the valve can be flushed by removing all the internal components and turning the water supplies back on for 30-60 seconds. (For kitchen and lavatory faucets turn a bucket or similar large container upside down over the faucet to deflect the water into the sink.) Please reach out if you have any additional questions!
